Suggestions- Standards based grading, accepting late work, taking away points and instead providing feedback. There is a lot to be gained from these conversations, but some of it is not practical considering the volume of students we have. It’s moving towards standards based grading (reassessing multiple times, more chances to demonstrate skill). We see kids who are point obsessed and kids who do just enough to earn barely enough points to pass. Getting rid of points will take a lot of adjustment for our community.
