The High Angle shot represents the solemn feeling in this Music Video as the camera is high and looking down on the performer. This implies a low mood which adds to the Narrative of the storyline. It also gives a clear depiction of the surroundings and the performer by using this shot and the audience can gather a better understanding of what it is that they are watching as the performers body language is clear and can be seen well from this angle.

This Over the shoulder shot allows for the audience to clearly see the performers face but it also adds emotion to the music video as the audience can vividly see what emotions they feel a they look at themselves in the mirror. An over the shoulder shot can also be used to see from someone else's point of view. It helps connote the feelings of the performer through their eyes as it is as if the audience is a person looking over from the background. This type of shot is conventional to the Indie genre as it allows for the facial expressions and feelings of the performer to be portrayed.

This shot conveys the importance of the woman's emotions as the man in the background is not seen. It is important because using a Mid shot means the performers body language can be expressed in a dramatic way towards the audience and the words can have more meaning. In this example making the man in the background dark and unclear, therefore not seeing his face, is extremely important. It means that his presence is there but he is emotionless as his facial expressions cannot be seen, this allows the audience to connect with the emotions of the performer on a deeper level.

The use of a Pan allows the audience to see the scene and picture the setting before the performance has started. It is important because using a Pan into the performance depicts the type of performance that the audience should expect, for example as this is an Indie rock song the pan into a field makes it clear that the Music Video will not be Punk Rock as the Mise-en-scene of a Punk Rock video would be grey and dark not light and colourful.

The use of an extreme close up shot in a performance sequence is to extenuate the lyrics in the song and this type of shot is important as there are no distractions like there are in an extreme long shot therefore focusing the audience into the song.

The Extreme Long Shot conveys the dramatized feel of the song, therefore adding to the performance and complying with the genre she is singing. The use of an Extreme Long Shot means that there is a lot of room for props, a background and adds to the meaning behind the music video when filming the performance. This shot puts distance between the performer and the camera which can either contrast the lyrics or compliment them, such as when a song is about someone loosing themselves an extreme long shot would emphasize the lyrics that are being performed.

The use of the Dolly shot helps the audience follow the action and what is happening in the performance. This is important because it represents what is happening during the performance and the audience have to be able to keep view of the performer. Using a Dolly shot type means the camera man is able to follow the performer for both the narrative and the performance aspect of the music video, therefore maintaining the audience's interest.
