You should read this book because it really shows how parents will do anything for their child. Also it so funny. It's a really weird story that is crazy at first. You would have never thought that drawing those unthinkable pictures would lead to a heap of trouble.

The book teaches us that creativity can go from simple to the unthinkable. No one can stop us from drawing what we feel like drawing or thinking. Alice Henson teaches us that we need to fight for something that bother us or something that isn't right to us. Tony Henson teaches us that we shouldn't care what people think, we should live for our-self.

1. We have to be original and true to our-self, meaning that we have to be unique and stand out in front of the crowd.

Evidence: In the art class, everyone had a draw some sort of person. Tony drew something that no on else would have never thought of drawing that eventually got his work into an art show.

2. They system is unfair. There is always a hole in the system or the system is rigged. We can't afford to sit here and see our young men and women, mothers and fathers, to get outrageous time in jail for a minimal reason.

Evidence: Alice took her son, Tony, to the club she works at so Tony can have something to draw for class. After he turned in his drawings, his teacher put his work in an art show. After the authorities saw the drawings, they called child protective services to investigate where this 12-year-old boy get the inspiration to draw these drawings.

3. We are all scared to break out of our shell and be yourself. We are afraid that someone will judge us. Believing in yourself is the one thing we have to do in life.

Evidence: Tony wasn't a shy kid. He was outgoing and had friends. He just wasn't confident in the work that he did. He never really thought his drawings were as good as people told him it was. He really didn't believe in himself.

4. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words do not hurt me" We have many people say that in out lifetime but it is not true. Words do hurt and they also change lives too. The power of words changes what we think about and what we don't. Just telling someone that you appreciate them will brighten their day.

Evidence: When Alice and Tony went to court, the court had evidence that were strong, but Alice had her words. All Alice did was tell the court how unnecessary this was and how she related the situation to a book she had read.

5. If someone pushed you, what were you to do? Do nothing or push them back? Most people would push them back because it's self defense. We don't let people just do what they want to do and us not do a thing. It's important that we stand up for our self's and push back when someone pushed us.

Evidence: When the child protective people came to their house, they tried to threaten Alice by saying that they were going to take Tony away from her. Things got heated and they cops were called. Eventually, they came and tried to grab Tony. The lady that worked with child protection tried to pepper spray Alice but failed when the spray got turned around and she pepper sprayed herself in the face. Then Alice hit a cop inthe face with a lamp.
