No seriously look at them. The donuts behind this post can be a very symbolic representation of what integrity is not, and unfortunately what humanity is becoming more of. If I was looking at the donuts and wanted to be the writer of Dora the Explorer I might say, "these donuts are missing something what are they missing...? that's right the center, people are like donuts, empty". But this isn't Dora. However, surprisingly, this is actually the basic foundation of the concept of integrity. The true (less fun) and more mature definition of integrity is expressing the same state of being our five senses can interpret externally, that the object is experiencing internally. So back to the donuts. A better way of looking at it would be the taste and the look of the donuts. They taste pretty dang good, they look really good, however, the nutritional value of the donuts is not their. Empty calories. "Untruthful" expression. In the essay we take this concept and apply it to music. We analysed music to understand of the song contains integrity. Specifically we listened for the purity, and truthfulness of the instrumentation and/or vocalization, of how the song would sound in person without "false" enhancement. Musical genres that repeated integrity in the sense of purity and truthfulness, consisted of, Classical, folk, children music, instrumentation, and a cappella. When listening we want to look for true sound, sound that closely resembles the purity and/or the intended sound of that instrument. Songs that posses this have integrity and convey the true instruments that produce those sounds.
