As you begin this new chapter with your family in the UK, I just want to say how truly grateful I am for the time we’ve shared and the memories we’ve built together in PHINMA Ed—especially those early days in Myanmar and Indonesia. You have been with me every step of the way in our journey to bring PHINMA Ed to the international stage, and I honestly cannot imagine how we could have managed without you.

Together we learned, supported each other, and went through the highs and lows—crying, laughing, even getting frustrated at times—but those moments are so precious to me and ones I will never forget.

Your dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment have left an indelible mark on all of us. And beyond the work, your kindness, generosity, and warm spirit made every challenge lighter and every success so much sweeter.

I will always be grateful for all you’ve given, and even more for the friendship and memories we share. Wishing you and your family the very best as you begin this exciting new journey in the UK. May it bring you joy, new opportunities, and fulfillment.....

Flashback to 2017, our paths crossed again in PE Myanmar. You were one of my sources of persistence back then, while I was still figuring out my way back into the PEHI “system” this time as an employee. I always look back fondly on our small talks - because you always had a way of helping me dig deeper into my thoughts. Nakakamiss yun, our midnight brainstorming sessions.

Fast forward to Indonesia - my most unforgettable memory is the construction transition. Haha! The lady engineers! Next is the drafting of the foundation regulations, switching back and forth between English and Bahasa with the help of Google Translate. So many stories! So much laughter, and “happy tears”. I will truly miss you at PEHI - will miss you in the strategy meetings, will miss your “busy mind” and the way you always asked what you called your “stupid questions” (which were never stupid at all!). Hehehe.

From the Olpocs - we love you so much and we will forever cherish our memories together. Btw, thank you for lending us Raph and Ate Ruth, who became “Yayo” and “Yaya” for Khael when we were still in Myanmar. I wish you and your family the very best. I’ll be praying for you in this new chapter of your journey, and I can’t wait to hear from you on the other side of the world.

I guess this picture sums up how we were as colleagues. We've rarely sat beside each other in the PHINMA Ed Bus. If memory serves me right, we probably rarely sat in the same section of the Bus! By this, I mean, we rarely found ourselves in the same team, or the same committee.

So in that way, I don't know much about you. What I am sure that I know is that you are one of the right persons for the Bus. I have been witness to this, even though we were seated at different sections! And getting off the Bus at the next stop, it doesn't diminish that. I guess sometimes, life calls us to hop on to the next right bus.

I wonder if all the buses in the UK are bright red and double-deckers like what we see in pictures.

At any rate, enjoy and savor the trip on the new bus with Maya! If ever we cross paths in the UK, perhaps we can have afternoon tea and biscuits, or whatever is appropriate at the time of our bumping to each other in whatever place it might be.
