Being an advocate can sometimes put you in hostile situations. However, I will always be passionate about advocating for those in need; whether it be men, women, minorities, immigrants, children, etc. It has taught me about patience, understanding and communication. A better world is always possible.

This sport has been in my life for twelve years. I've met my closest friends, fought my toughest battles and learned to challenge myself through softball. There is no better feeling than being apart of a team who encourages you to push yourself. I've learned how to give 110% doing whatever I chose to do in my life, due to the guidance from coaches. Softball has played such a huge role in my life and continues to help me grow.

I work for a start-up real estate company called Homie. We're all about disrupting the industry, to help sellers save money. I spend most of my time helping the company grow, but it's more than that. I'm very happy to be apart of a company that has a genuine business module to help the consumer, rather than to make a profit. The founders of the company frequently speak on the mission of Homie and it gives me goosebumps. This company has taught me so many valuable things.

I know, I know.. what a millennial thing to say. However, being apart of social media has taught me a lot about my self. The most important thing it's shown me is my flaws. In high school I used my Twitter to keep up with the latest drama, until one day I realized it wasn't who I wanted to be anymore. Instagram has taught me to embrace what makes me insecure and I owe it to most of the fitness models I follow. The woman show their real bodies, in their true form, making me feel confident. Facebook allows me to express my thoughts. Each platform helps me in some way. I decided to include it, because it impacts my daily life.

While I lived with my parents they never let me have a dog. They told me I'd most likely ignore the responsibility. Little did they know, I treat my dogs better than most parents treat their kids. (Only kidding) I adopted my Chocolate Lab mix the day I turned 18 and moved into my apartment. He instantly became my best friend. Three years later Carter still follows me around no matter where I go.. even if he is grumpy tired at 3 AM and I wake up to go to the bathroom. My boyfriend and I adopted our Border Collie a year ago. Tucker is my wild child and keeps me on my toes. Our weekends include multiple trips to the dog parks, as well as pet stores. I included them in my culture, because it's definitely a society to own fur babies. They've taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, love and loyalty.
