         <description><![CDATA[<p>Germany was founded in 1871. The Prime Minister Otto von Bismark when he took over the surrounding territory to create Germany. He created Germany because he wanted the surrounding territories. All the surrounding territories had similar cultures and same languages to unify together. This act created present day Germany.</p>]]></description>

The empire was forged by the agreement of the leaders of the states in the North of Germany. Germany was the dominant force in the nation until the empire's demise. Germany's downfall was at the end of another war in 1918. </p>]]></description>

From Mesoamerica and the Caribbean to the Andres and Amazon basin, indigenous people inhabited the territory that is now Colombia. Colombia was first visited by Europeans. The first expedition of Alonso de Ojeda arrived at the Cabo de la vela in 1499. And in 1811 they declared their independence.</p>]]></description>

After a long two year war for independence starting on September 7, 1822, they got their independence from Portugal. During the war King Joao left his son, Prince Dom Pedro, to rule over Brazil. In 1810 the subordinated jurisdictions in New Granada threw out their Spanish officials. The extreme anxiety led Kind Fernand to strife in New Granada. Independence was not declared until 1811.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>On April 22, 1821, Dom Pedro was appointed to rule over Brazil while Dom Joao sailed to Lisbon. Soon after becoming their ruler, the Cortes ordered Dom Pedro to return to Europe. They feared that he might have an independence movement. Prince Pedro refused and gave a speech known as "Fico." Most Brazilians sided with him and he ended up staying in Brazil.</p>]]></description>
