If you had started the project say in February or January we could have needed the time but you have us working two hours a day on a project that we have nothing to do on. And then you expect us to work when we have nothing to do which is why people are getting in trouble, you are punishing the kids for a problem you created. When we ask our advisor for something to do he tells us to think of something cool and do it, which half the time turns out to have no benefit to our project at all, so your 'project work time' has turned into 'glorified arts and crafts' A much more constructive thing to do would be to turn half of project work time into science.
