When waiting for the bus I missed the first one so there weren't many people waiting but a crowd gathered after the 10 minute wait. Jamaica Avenue is usually loud and busy, horns honking, people trying to make buses, people walking in all directions. People waiting and walking.

On the LIRR you have to have a ticket, they're usually always checking for one. It's accessible with a ticket to your given destination. Today I was able to get a seat because of the smaller crowd. I usually see white people on there way to Penn station or Grand central around this time, it was a few people of other backgrounds getting off at Jamaica but some stay to also get off at other stations. But in majority it's usually a white crowd. These trains are usually kept, seat's don't have visible stains and today there wasn't any trash surrounding the cart I was in. Overall a smooth ride.

Waiting for the Q30 the overall crowd is people of ethnic backgrounds, a mix between females and males, able and disabled. Today as any other day it's busy environment makes me extra aware, just looking around at my surroundings like I've been taught and have adapted to anywhere else. Today I seen police officers across the street, walking around in the crowds, it's a regular sight usually. Waiting for the bus, today had a lot of smells, a woman talking very loudly on the phone. The area isn't privileged, there is always a lot of things going on and things that disturb me in my commute. It's visible the are is under privileged but everyone is trying to get to there destination regardless of anything.

After the 10 minute wait, and people packed up waiting for the bus people rushed in today, squeezing through each other most of the times to be the first to get a seat. I was able to get a seat and people packed onto the bus. This also requires a fare, but sometime they really don't care if you do or not. People on today's ride all moved like they needed to be somewhere, people with book bags, purses, all heading to a destination. It smelled bad, I guess because of the slight drizzle and people. All types of people were on today's commute and at each stop people packed on and off. When finally getting to St.Johns a good amount of people got off and I arrived at school.

Both spaces are filled with people trying to get to a destination. A bias I may have it that the reality of being in spaces like Jamaica Avenue it tough, it always just feels like a lot. The reality isn't calming.
