The book I have chosen to read is the boy in the black suit by Jason Reynolds. The book is about Mat, the main character meeting a girl that has been through way more things than Matt has gone through. The reason I chose this book is because I have been wanting to read a book by Jason Reynolds and, this book has love and I very much enjoy reading books that have love in the story. So far what I like about the book is that I can picture what the author is trying to explain and I can see it so clearly like when Reynolds says "It was another one of Brooklyn's crappy fall days, where the clouds make nine in the morning look like six in the evening, but the rain won't come down." I can picture exactly what he is trying to say almost like if I'm watching a movie. What's so different about this book from the many other ones I have read is the way it's written. There is so much slang which I love because you can picture in your head Matt talking like this with the people around him. Its a different way of writing but, some people can relate to the way Matt speaks. I feel like young adult authors are too scared to do that but if I read a book that had a main character that spoke like me I would definitely relate to the book a lot more.

Currently, in the book I'm reading "the boy in the black suit", Matt is finally making a move on Lovey! Now, I'm kinda upset that it took this long for something lovey-dovey to happen because, to be honest, I was going to give up on the book. Although I'm glad I kept reading because I'm super excited to find out what happens between the two of them and what are the crazy things that Lovey has gone through. I'm super curious about what goes on in that girl's life. She seems super calm about everything and I think that's what Matt is going to find most interesting about her. I'm pretty sure she wants to learn how "tough" she is so he can be the same. He probably thinks its ridiculous that he's so emotional about his mom's death but he really shouldn't be. It's a normal thing, in my opinion, to be upset about someone that just died especially his mom. I'm pretty sure he'll learn that its okay to not be "tough" sometimes.

This week while I was reading my book I was absolutely obsessed. Mostly because Matt and Love are talking and he's going to have Thanksgiving with her JUST THE TWO OF THEM! Can you believe that? I'm so excited to find out if everything turns out well or ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Is it going to be awkward? Will something bad happen to them? Will they get mad at each other for something stupid? WILL THEY KISS? WHO KNOWS? What I'm loving most about this whole Matt and Love talking is the way the author describes everything. It is just sooooo relatable. Like when he says "I waited for the next text message and daydreamed about what Lovey was doing, even though she had already told me she wasn't doing anything, which means she was probably watching TV. " I do the exact same thing like if I'm talking to a guy I like I will wonder what he's doing and imagine what that guy is doing. It just amazes me how relatable this book is and I think that's the best thing. When you read a book that you can relate to I think you can connect to it and enjoy it a lot more. I love how the author knows what young adult readers can connect to.

I finished The boy in the black suit and let me just say it was a wonderful book. Matt and Loveys relationship was absolutely the cutest thing. Although I wish the author would have written more about Matt and Loveys relationship. It kinda makes sense why it took so long to get to the point. Like the part when Matt was talking about how he slept over at Chris' house on Valentine's day when they were six. They heard a couple fighting and then the woman got shot by the man. Later on in the book, it turns out the woman that got shot was Loveys mom. ISNT THAT FREAKING CRAZY. It's almost like Matt and Lovey were meant to find each other. It wasn't at all what I expected though because I thought right at the beginning of the book he would start something with Lovey. I didn't think it would happen almost at the end. My favorite part of the book was when Matt and Lovey would have their cute little moments. Like when they went to that garden and Lovey told Matt to take a picture of a flower he likes then he asked Lovey to turn around and he started taking pictures of her. Absolutely adorable! Don't you think? We need more guys like Matt in this dang world. I would recommend this book to someone that likes to read about love because it really is a cute book and the way the author describes Matts feelings it is absolutely stunning.

I currently just started reading Its kind of a funny story. The reason I chose this book because it talks about depression, but the story is somehow funny. I know that Craig, the main character in my book will attempt to kill himself and will go to a mental hospital. I think what may happen though is that Craig will meet a girl and he'll start liking her and he'll start feeling "happy" again. From what I've read so far I love the way Craig speaks and the way he describes what he thinking. He's straightforward about things and he sees life in a different way. Based on the cover I think the book will definitely be intriguing. I really do hope this book will make me giggle because most books that I read that are about depression make me cry like crazy and make me feel a tad bit sad. I'm pretty sure ill cry while reading this book but not as much as the other books I have read. I don't really read books that are intended to have humor so I am super excited to see how this book will turn out. I don't think it will be challenging to read this book. It is sorta different from what I've read in the past but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it. I love things that make me laugh especially movies, so it will sorta be like watching a funny movie. It's going to be cool "meeting" the new characters that I'm pretty sure is going to make the story humorous.

Craig, the main character in my book, reminds me a lot of Theodore Finch from "all the bright places". Although Finch is a much more depressing character than Craig they still have their similarities. For starters, they're both two teenage boys that are both very depressed. Both of them are also humorous which is kinda weird cause you know they are both .sad mopey boys. The thing about Craig though is that he is a little awkward. He's one of the smart kids who cares about his grades and his future but also goes to parties and smokes weed. I'm assuming he just does that because his friend Aaron does it too. Finch, on the other hand, is a pretty outgoing person. Yeah, he gets bullied at school but he doesn't care what so ever. He has a crazy personality and he definitely doesn't care what other people think of him. Finch is a rebel he skips class, he doesn't care about school, and he always wants to go on some type of crazy adventure with Violet. To be honest I don't think Craig and Finch would be friends. Maybe if they both somehow went to the same mental ward, they would've somehow been best buddies, but yeah that definitely wouldn't have worked out. if you've read "All the Bright Places" you know what I'm talking about.

This weekend I finished it’s kind of a funny story by Ned Vizzini, and it was absolutely super good. It was very different from all the other books I’ve read before, but it’s showed me that I should read different types of books. I fell in love with the main character, Craig and how strong he became. What I liked most about the book was that the book took place in one week. It kind of felt like I was with Craig throughout the whole book. I liked the development of his character. He changed so much throughout the book. In the beginning he was supper dupper depressed and wanted to kill him self, but then by the end of the book you could tell that he was a lot better than he was in the beginning of the book. Not perfect but a lot better. It wasn’t what I expected. I expected it to be more about love and more depressing but some parts really made me laugh and supper relatable. It kinda thought me that things do get better over time and there are solutions to your problems. I think I would recommend this book to someone who’s dealing with depression or suicidal thoughts because it shows that you can over come depression and you can over come the terrible thoughts in your head.Reading this book showed me that I shouldn’t always read books about lovey dovey stuff. I should experiment different books and see if I enjoy them or not

I am currently reading a new book called this is where it ends. So far I am absolutely loving this book. The fact that it had 4 point of views makes the book a lot more interesting. You get to see how these 4 characters are going through this terrible experience in different ways. What is keeping me so interested is that the antagonist keeps doing horrible things and it makes you want to keep reading. You want to know if one of the main characters is going to be the next one to die. What is shocking me so much is how many people have died so far. People are locked up in this auditorium watching all these students and teachers dying and I cannot imagine how terrifying that must be to watch. What I love so much about this book is how all the 4 characters are connected to the antagonist. Every person has a story with him. They all have different memories with him and they all see him differently. One of the 4 characters, Autumn, is his brother which blows my mind because she's there watching her brother kill all of these innocent people. I bet she never thought in a million years that her own brother would be shooting up the school. She most likely loves him with all her heart because I mean that's her freaking brother but after this, I'm not sure what she will feel towards him. magine if your sibling were to shoot up the school. Oh Jesus

Currently, in my book a ton of crazy things are going on. First of all, there's a school shooting which is absolutely terrifying don't you think. Reading all of this sadly reminds me of all the school shooting that have happened. You kinda get a gist of how scary it is to be in that situation. Especially since it is told in 4 different points of views. What I love most is that you see how all these 4 different people view the shooter. All of them are terrified of course, but they never thought he would shoot up the school. And it really gets you thinking like wow you don't know who could shoot up your school and you can never be prepared. All these students are locked up in the auditorium. They can't really hide from the shooter because they are all in the same room with him. Yeah, all these schools try to prepare for a school shooting but you never know when or where it's going to happen. It could happen during passing period it could happen during a pep rally so I think schools should put more thought into keeping students safe and probably show the teachers self-defense. Reading this book really opens your eyes and it's scary but kinda good. I think?

Currently in my book A BUNCH OF CRAZY STUFF IS HAPPENING. Like Ty is absolutely going insane with his sister autumn. The good thing that is going on though is that people are getting out of the auditorium thanks to Tomás. Wow, thank god for him am I right. This book really keeps you hooked. The fact that it takes place in 45 minutes is insane. It literally makes you feel like you are there which is a tad bit scary but like pretty cool at the same time. What is keeping me so interested is something keeps on happening and like I want to know if the main characters are okay and well ALIVE. What's crazy is how brave these main characters are. Mostly Autumn because she tried to convince him to stop. It didn't really work out but I mean its helping people to get out cause shes distracting Ty. What's making me so sad though is how terrible Ty is. He thinks that his sister is a horrible person and selfish AND ALL OF THIS DUMB NONSENSE but she's not. Shes super sad because her dad is horrible to her and he doesn't let her dance and follow her dreams. From her memories, it seemed like Tyler really loved her and cared for her but I guess now he doesn't. What makes me even sadder is WHO KNOWS WHAT HER DAD IS GONNA THINK. Is he gonna think it's her fault too? Who knows. I guess I'll find out.
