I will never forget two important messages you sent me at 4 or 5 in the morning. One is during my first checkpoint, and your message says “Good luck Sara, I know you can do it”. This message has always been a great source of motivation for me everytime I am in a difficult situation. This always reminds me to be positive and to have a driven mindset. And true enough, when I say I can do it, i am able to do it. Your faith in my potential has been a significant motivator ever since.

Second 4am or 5am text message was when you shared to me an award you received. You said (not the exact words & details), “I received this award, but the award is for you. Congratulations Sara” This taught me that the true value lies not in the physical trophy but in the spirit of sharing and recognition it represents. It’s not about the individual but about celebrating and uplifting others along the way. You always demonstrate the value of generosity to me and to all the people who worked with you. I truly admire your leadership & your ability to inspire others is remarkable.

Thank you for all the learning and for always helping me and guiding me even outside of Monde Nissin, and now outside the professional life. I am blessed.

Congratulations on your retirement! My time in Monde Nissin may be short but your leadership and guidance has been something that stayed with me all these years. I think that's the reason why Visayas has always performed above and beyond is because you genuinely cared for the people more than the numbers they deliver. You created a culture in which all of us can shine on our own and still work together effectively - something remarkable that I never saw in my other workplaces. You set the standard of what a good boss is and has shaped the person / leader I wanted to become.

It's not a secret that the time I was in Monde Nissin was a turbulent one (with so many internal issues) but looking back, I feel nothing but gratitude for the patience that you had for me and the team. I think it would've easily gone for the worse but you handled it pretty well and I think we all became better people because of it.

I never thought of being trained and mentored by a well-seasoned, veteran, transformational leader --- and with that I am beyond grateful for you, Boss Joel. Working with you is a privilege and a blessing. For you, I may only be one of the many lives you inspired and influenced to succeed in our respective careers, but for us -- for me, there will only be one Joel Tan. You are an integral cog in the foundation of my career.

You may not know but your simple emoji like 😃 matters. The simple "Goodluck, Rose", or "Good job, Rose!" brought me comfort and joy beyond imaginable. One simple "we can do this guys 💪💪💪" from you and I feel like the team can do anything and grow Visayas from -10% to 10% 😆.

I will always remember all your teachings, from being fierce on saying no (I will not, I cannot), to ensuring a presentation should not be cluttered, and should be able to tell a story. Surely navigating through my career won't be a walk in the park, but I am confident in everything I will do, because the great Joel Tan molded me to the person I am today.

I am more than happy for you <3 You can now travel in peace. You can now enjoy your morning whiskey without worrying how much sales was invoiced yesterday, or how much we are projected as of today, or how much will be the projection of the team for the balance week ahahahaha.

You taught me that I am more than my minor shortcomings when I was starting. That I can do more and be more if I just trust the process and give my best without hesitations. You taught me not to rush things and to be patient. The things that I want to happen will soon happen when I am ready for it.

You were the first person who believed in me when I expressed my utmost intention to pursue Marketing and made every tiny but of effort needed to steer me towards what motivates me most. Indeed, you were right. My sales and activations background have equipped me well. It did set me apart from all of the marketers in the industry. I will never forget those words you told me when we had a store visit together in Metro Ayala weeks after my first checkpoint. It reminded me that nothing good comes easy. Congratulations on your 32 years of service with MNC. I fully remember my first day in Monde on Feb 16, 2024 which I specifically requested instead of Feb 1 since I was hoping to spend my Valentines day with my respective other in Manila before I would undergo the 6 months rigorous training. Truth be told I thought being in sales would be a walk in the park having all the different connections needed. It was in Monde that I learned hard work does pay off and the constant discipline to be seen and to be heard was a constant reminder which I have taken to my various endeavors and even jobs. I am also very thankful when on April 1, 2016 I submitted my resignation because I hated the routa and I hated driving but instead of reprimanded me you told me that you would only "HOLD ON" to the letter but not file it. True enough you were right when you said I was built for sales when you were surprised I was resigning when my numbers and Stretch goals were all in line respectively. Lucky enough in the 2 weeks of bumming and encoding PO's in the office I had a renewed drive to strive to finish the entire training of Monde and I did with flying colors cause of you, Sir Ryan and Sara Nimo guidance respectively.

Boss everyday I look forward to a new routa or even a work with in my various jobs thanks to the patience you had on a pampered little Chinese Boy who entered MNC Cebu hahah. Even today boss in my new business of Car rentals or personal travels I still can't get over the feeling of wanting to store check and also just visit the respective key accounts previously handled. All I can say Monde has continuously been growing and new innovations are evident with your leadership.
