Alternative ending.

In the original play, Romeo and Juliet both kill themselves to prove their love to their parents. I feel that this is kind of extreme and could have been done in a less extreme way. In my alternative ending, Romeo and Juliet didn't die at the end of the book, instead together they went to both of their parents and explained why their love was important to them. Their parents attempted to understand and eventually both Capulet and Montague came together and accepted their children's love and decided they would end the hate between each other. Romeo and Juliet live happily and the kindness between the who families is all restored from the love between Romeo and Juliet. All the while nobody has to die in the process.

I believe the common theme throughout Romeo and Juliet is love can overcome conflict. In the story Romeo and Juliet's families are enimes and dont get along whatsoever. Them being together is strictly prohibited but they want to show their parents that their love is pure. In the end their love showed their parents that they shouldnt be rude to one another and instead come together and mourn their children

July 1st 1300-

Juliet came into my office today and when i asked her about her week she stated that during her party where she was supposed to meet a potential suiter, she locked eyes with a Montague whom she found found to be quite handsome. Juliet stated she was "in love".

July 2nd 1300-

Juliet came into my office again despite her not having a appointment to say she was getting married. this further proves my case of delusion. she stated they were going to get married in secrete due to familial issues.

July 3rd 1300-

Juliet came into the office late this night in a very sad state. She could barely get words out while she told me her husband had been banished. I fear this case of delusion is affecting Juliet quite harshly.

July 4th 1300-

Juliet's parents came into my office today to tell me the news of Juliet's death. Her love for Romeo caused her to die, just to show her parents how love between Montague and Capulet could be achieved. I told her parents that love can overcome these enemy hardships and they should have listened to Juliets feelings

Romeo and Juliet's parents are wanted because they didnt let the love of Romeo and Juliet come through the hardships untill the two of them were already dead. Love ca overcome hardships for instance the enemy relatins between capulet and montague but lengths as far as death shouldnt have had to be taken to show this.

In my continuation after the Capulets and Montagues are told by the prince that their behavior towards one another caused the deaths of their children, they decide the right thing to do would be to reconnect with one another to both celebrate the reunification and mourn their children.
