         <description><![CDATA[<div>Description: Observe and record the speed of enzymes in liver breaking down H2O2. Observe and measure how environmental factors such as pH can change this rate. Measure the pH level and the speed at which oxygen is produced,then find the rate of oxygen production. Observe how the rate changes with the pH level. Making the pH significantly higher or lower sped up the rate of production, though we’re not sure why this happened.</div><div><br></div><div>Purpose: Observe how conditions can affect enzymes. Learn how ideal enzyme conditions work in the body, and why enzymes are denatured.</div>]]></description>

Our results show that Double stuf oreos have approximately double the filling of regular oreos,with a few milligrams of difference.</div><div><br></div><div>Purpose: Do double stuf Oreos really have twice the amount of filling?          <description><![CDATA[<div>Description: Time the and record number of toothpicks broken. Do the same while using inhibiting factors such as temperature and shape. Observe how inhibitors affect the number broken. Break toothpicks while visibly observing the effects of outside forces on the “enzyme” used in the lab. Try to find different ways of slowing down or speeding up the enzyme, while the enzyme tries to do its job as efficiently as possible.</div><div><br></div><div>Purpose: Similar to how enzymes can become denatured due to environmental conditions.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Water Potential Lab</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Description: Fill a dialysis tube fill of water in a solution of a certain molarity and observe how the mass inside the tube changes due to osmosis. The  higher molarity solutions drew out more water from the tube. This lowered its mass due to water loss. Lower molarity solutions raised the mass due to water flowing into the tube. The mass stayed the same when the water potential in the tube and solution were equal.<br><br>Purpose: The purpose of this lab was to oserve the effects of water potential and osmosis in real time at a visible scale.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Cell Temperature Lab</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Description: Observe how temperature affects the structure of cells and cell walls. Cell walls will break down faster in hot water. This was measured by comparing the color of beet roots soaked in water of varying temperatures. Near boiling water was much more effective than near freezing water. This is because the cell wall is weakened and bursts when the temperature is great enough.<br><br>Purpose: Observe how temperature affects cell structure.</div>]]></description>
