September 15, 2025.

A company called Zum is reinventing the school bus to be electric, quiet, trackable, safe, and even feed back power to the grid. The founder, Ritu Narayan, says she started the company because she saw the same problem with school buses in India that she saw in the US. School buses are the biggest transit system in the US, with 27 million kids riding them daily, making it important for these to adapt, change, and become better as we progress. This segment made me think, should all school buses in the US be replaced with electric, trackable buses like Zum?

Potential argumentative questions:

Should all school districts in the U.S. be required to switch to electric school buses like Zum?
