Egyptian culture dates back to 3100 B.C., with many different era's for example, the Middle Kingdom ( ca.1980 - 1630 B.C.E) and the Early Dynastic (ca. 300- 2675 B.C.E). Since the culture has been around for so long, the population has to be greater than most cultures and the population is 1.5 million. The country Egypt is located in northeastern Africa, surrounded by, Libya, Sudan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. The history of Egypt is very amazing, Egypt is the oldest country in the world it was founded in 3150 B.C.E by the first king of the dynasty his name was King Menes. The official language of Egypt is Arabic due to the Muslims and the Nile River. Even though Egypt is one of the oldest countries and has had so many different things happen, it is still one of the most loved countries due to its natural beauty and the long history of the country.

In Egypt, religion is a big part of the country with the different religions and the countries surrounding it. The three main religions are Sunni Islam, Christianity(Coptic Orthodox), and Judaism. Just like America, Egypt allows people to publicly practice their religions and build churches based on their religion. The first religion in Egypt was polytheistic which lasted more than 3,00 years. The reason why Islam is so big in Egypt is because it turned to Islam in 641 CE. After all, it was governed as part of the Arab caliphates. Talmud said that 80% of the Jews never left Egypt even though they were so influenced and didn't wanna join the Exodus. The population of the religions is a big surprise, about 90% of Egypt follows Sunni Muslim and only about 10% follow Christianity(Coptic Orthodox). The reason why there aren't that many Jewish people anymore is because they either converted to the other two or ended up moving somewhere like Israel. Even though different people have different religions Egypt is one of the safest and accepting places you could ever visit or live in.

In Egypt, they have an odd dress code but it works out in the end for them and the environment they live in. In Egypt, for hats, they normally wear headscarves but back in older times those were only for people who were ruling Egypt, nowadays people wear them to protect their hair and keep it out of their hair. Now they transitioned from head scarves to sun hats, both are still very common in Egypt it just depends on your preference. Normally in Egypt, people don't wear the normal shirts we are used to they wear shirts called Galabiya which a loose-fitting shirts that aren't tight at all, they also go all the way down to their ankles. They have loose shirts because it is so hot over there and normally when someone wears a tight shirt it may be a little hot and uncomfortable to wear if it is super hot. For pants, they normally wear loose-fitting pants or no pants as well. This is very common due to the weather over there. For shoes, they typically wear sandals because of all the sand and it makes it easier to move around and they don't constantly have to worry about getting the sand out of their shoes. It doesn't truly matter what anyone wears in Egypt but they like to dress very modestly and don't show much skin this is also because of their religion and the weather.

Even though Egypt has many older things, their food is their favorite oldy! Normally a typical breakfast would be fava beans with pita bread. For lunch, they would have koshari which is a vegetarian dish but sure doesn't look like it and many people from Egypt say it is one of their favorites. For dinner, they may have Satadiyah Fish or Mulukhiya which is soup, in Egypt they have soup with almost all of their meals. For dessert after one of their meals, they would maybe have Mahalabiya which is almost like a pudding that has something on top of it, or baklava which is like a little cake. If they get hungry after all of their meals and desserts they have a snack which is, Ful, which is a paste of mashed fava beans with olive oil and garlic. Compared to American food Egyptian food is a lot healthier.
