         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since joining my school's academic community, I've noticed my tendency to silo each one of my identities. I wasn't aware of these hard delineations, and the mechanisms I use to cope (like code-switching or attempts at translingualism) until after reading about other&nbsp;scholars of color. &nbsp;I hope that unmasking myself, and acknowledging the performative nature my identity sometimes take on, allows for my future students and peers to feel comfortable being who they are.</div>]]></description>
