I think I would ask some follow up questions about interactions with parents. What are the mode of communication (email, phone, conference), are they all the same. How does he view parents as a role player in the child's success, how to get parent buy in, etc. I would try to gain more information by getting the candidate to talk more about experiences. Unsure whether I would hire at this point. I think there are always mulitiple data points to consider, it would take reflection on all answers to gain a bigger picture. I would hope I would have another administrator, or team mate in the interview to get their take on responses as well.
