This week when we were working on our piece i feel that i had good projection of my voice when i was saying my lines and also i used body language and facial expressions to show my characters mood. To improve my performance i need to be able to say my lines confidently without a script.

So far my experience in the Shakespeare Schools Festival has been good. I have enjoyed learning the story of Othello and have developed more skills when working as an ensemble. It has enabled me to gain more team building skills. One thing I need to refine is building some leadership skills and to participate more to help shape the piece.

So far my experience has been really enlightening. My role has been mainly working as the ensemble. Even though it meant that I wasn't always the main person on stage I knew that as being part of the ensemble, if you didn't pay attention you would have draw attention to yourself. I think that this is the first piece where I have realised that we had to work as a group and do things in unison when needed etc. Also with regards to Tech, the sheet that you gave let me have an understanding of what my role entailed. I just need to learn how to use the que sheets and lighting board so that I could be more involved on the tech side of performance.

My experience has been pleasant as i slowly learn the characteristics that is needed for my role. I feel a connection within the role i play as my crazy character and embrace the Shakespearean language. Othello is a dark piece but I know the comedy will lighten up the piece. I still need to gain that confidence within my lines, it's not that I don't know them, I just tend to freeze up on my lines. I mainly need to work on my voice and diction. Just simple practice can do the job. Overall this experience is unique and fun as we can input our creative ideas.

I think that the past few weeks I strengthened my teamwork skills and also my theatrical skills. I have achieved this by looking at my classmates mistakes and observing how they overcome them and then adding that to my own part. I haven't acted in the actual play as my own character yet however I think that the little starter activities that make us get into character really helps me understand how I should act when I'm actually on stage. I think that mixing with other classes and Bonnell really helped increase my confidence, even though I knew most of them. This is because I had to act in front of people ive never acted in front of before, thus making me a little more confident.

So far my experience has been good. Not has great has I would like it to be but is not bad, and that is because I have been having little problems with my confidence. I am trying really hard to get wired of it but it doesn't seem to be working. Hopefully I can get it sorted till the day of the performance. Apart from that I really like my character because, the first senator is someone really fancy, and, most of the characters that I have played before were all funny and that: so this is kind of a challenge for me and, I am hoping to get it complete.

My experience so far with the Shakespeare Schools Festival has been ecstatic . I have gained a variety of different skills. I have learned how to be confident with my peers and be comfortable enough to share my ideas and act even though I look foolish sometimes. Making some of our movements look exaggerated is easier to see from the audience. I feel as if, if we all learnt our lines by heart and can read them out smoothly i think it would be easier to block out the pieces of scenes we need to work on. I am also enjoying to role of customer designer because it enable me to analyse each character to the core and find an outfit that will suit them.

In drama, my experience in doing Othello has been really helpful to me and it has also been really fun. It helped me broaden my team building skills and working with new people, also it has helped me with my confidence, the projection of my voice and it helped me learn what type of facial expressions to use for people to understand my character. It has been really fun as well because everyday we add new ideas to make our piece even better. To improve, I need to be free about my gestures and learn my lines with full confidence.

In this piece, I've been working as part of the ensemble rather than being a significant character. This has helped me to realise that you really need to focus on timing and spacing so that you don't stand out when you're not supposed to. I have developed more skills such as unison and awareness of spacing as I'm working as part of an ensemble.

So far since we were given the script before summer started i was so thrilled to get this opportunity, it really made me feel like a true actress at the beginning of her journey. The ability to have a script and begin to memorize lines really helps with your theatrical skills because it allows you to be free and expressive with your character, you just need to learn the lines of by heart and with no script in your hand you can really pin point your character. Playing Iago, a male character has really made me think beyond because i need to change entirely how i stand, walk, stare and talk. This is going to affect how people think of me and in my case i am sneaky little snake that is jealous and wants to bring Othello down, so i need to be able to show that. I have been building my character every lesson in order to make it stronger. One thing i need to work on is to make sure i don't go to fast while speaking and to really just let myself go and my character take control of me.

My role in the play is Othello, and I think playing this role has enabled me to adopt discipline, with things such as set schedules for learning lines, and working with scripts altogether. I feel as though working with the script, allows the ensemble to put more thought into our stage presence, as the dialogue is already provided, and this is so much more different to devising from scratch. There is a huge element of having to trust my fellow cast members, and we all lean on each other to remember specific stage directions and certain cues. Working in the team has sharpened my ability to project instead of shout, How important posture can be in portraying the main character, and developing an awareness of my surroundings while staying in role. Some challenges I faced were becoming familiar with Shakespearean language, or Old English, but adopting them into daily language, and recognising them as something that is not very daunting at all, I feel as though script working could become easier.
