The moral act consists of an action that can be evaluated or qualified, firstly, as morally good or bad, and secondly, ethically, which is more properly philosophical.

Respect for life is based on the recognition that all life has value, regardless of its usefulness to human beings. It is a universal principle that has been enshrined in human rights documents, such as the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Freedom is the human capacity to act of one's own free will, without being dictated to in the direction or manner of making and exercising one's decisions. The exercise of freedom implies assuming responsibility for one's own actions and the consequences of these for oneself and for other people.

''Truth'' is considered an ethical value, since it gives meaning to respect for other men, constitutes one of the basic pillars on which the moral conscience of the community is based and covers all areas of human life.

Consciousness is broadly defined as a being's awareness of itself and its environment. It can also refer to morality or to an organism's normal reception of internal and external stimuli. There is debate about what exactly consciousness consists of.

Respect is the special or positive consideration and appreciation for someone or something, which is recognized as having social value or special deference. It conveys a feeling of admiration for good or valuable qualities.
