My first intership took place in the building trade, at the Espace Engineering Fayat, an enterprise which conceive and release buildings as offices and department stores. It is specialised in the key-in-hand. 

  I was there between 9 am and 5 pm. I met almost all the staff, including the architects, the drawers, the economists and the clerks of the works. During these three days, I asked questions, I went to a builder’s work, to Deauville for an expertise in a hotel, I drew a plan of my house and I calculated surfaces since an other one.

  The job I prefered is clerk of the works. To compare the different aspects of this job, there are good point on the one hand with the following pf the whole project and the fact you work with everyone, the engineer to the workers. However on the other hand, this job necessits much travels, that’s tiredness and the schedule isn’t regular.

  The sector interests me but I haven’t any real project of career. The both interships were quite as much interesting, the experiences were extremely pleasant, due to their passion.

The profession of sports coach attracts me because I would like to motivate, encourage and support people in their objectives of physical effort and also because I like to practice sport, especially muscle building.
To get my internship I wrote a cover letter and I went to give it in person.

I did my internship at SUN FORM in Melesse.
The working hours are from 10am to 1.30pm and from 5pm to 8pm, on Saturdays the working hours of the coaches are from 10am to 12.30pm and on Sundays they are not there.
My tutor at my internship was Valentine and she is also surrounded by collaborators (sports coach, a communications officer and a surface tachnician)
The role of the coach is to guide and assist new clients.

The coach accompanies the athletes by helping them on the bodybuilding machines but also by doing fitness sessions in groups.

The coach will coach them and encourage them to go to the end of their strength but also to be proud of their performance.

The good points of this job, are on the one hand, coaches can take the time with members, the conviviality and the good atmosphere.
The bad points are on the other hand, the schedules because finished late work, cleaning and at some time of the day there are not many people.

I’m interested in the profession, but I’m still not sure I want to practice it in my life.

But what I remember is that this job is the kind of job I would like to do because I enjoy to be close to people and be able to communicate with them

Secondly, my internships took place at Orange Atalante, in Cesson-Sévigné. It’s a building of Orange Innovation which is Orange’s research branch. It belongs to the IT sector. Orange Innovation participates in the creation of the Liveboxes and all Orange’s products in general. 

Thirdly, the working hours in Orange Innovation are from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday. During my internships, I met mostly engineers who are cybersecurity experts or developers, in fact, I was in my father’s department which is a cybersecurity department. I also met few managers. I don’t have to do something duties as a trainee apart from obviously respecting the employees, indeed, the employees introduced my group to their jobs and they presented to the campus. Some of them had done activities on their works methods for example.

On the one hand, there are good aspects in this job sector as discover new things all the time because it’s a sector which change every day. Moreover, it’s a job sector which wages are high even if in others country, they are higher. The working hours are flexible because they aren’t specifics. On the other hand, there are bad aspects in this job sector as some repetitive tasks or organised skills which are required. This job sector requires to be front of screens which isn’t good for health.

Finally, I’m interested in working in that job sector, in fact, I like IT and it’s important for other sectors. I like best the first internship because I was in a small group of 6 teenagers contrary to my second internship where I was in a group of 12 teenagers.

Firstly, my full name is Clea Bellec and I’m currently a fourteen-year-old student in year ten in Germaine Tillion middle school which is located in La Mézière. 

In fact, when we are in year ten in Germaine Tillion middle school, we have to do at least two internships in order to discover the professional world. To find my second internship, I went to Geveze media library to speak directly to the manager I know well since I often went to the media library with the primary school. 

So, my second internship took place at Geveze media library which belongs to the public sector. Moreover, the media library depends on Geveze’s town hall. I was there from Thursday to Friday between 9am and 12.30pm and between 1.30pm and 5pm. During my internship, I was in contact with the manager and some volunteers who explained me their functions.

As a trainee, I asked questions to the manager to learn about the media library and I had to help the children to do their computer exercises. 

On the one hand, the job has loads of good aspects. For instance, a media library is a place of leisure and relaxation. Besides, the presence of public is really pleasant when we fancy that. Moreover, a media library manager is a territorial officer, so he has job security.

On the other hand, the job has also some bad aspects. For instance, we have to plan our timetable of the year school in August for the different primary school classes, so we have to be present every day. Furthermore, there are some periodic meetings in the evening and the job requires “invisible work” at home to prepare any readings to the children, to be informed of the current events about books… 

Finally, I would be interested by the job sector because I enjoy to be in contact with people but I don’t know if I would like to have any career in this sector. Moreover, I haven’t got any preferences for one of my internships since they were two very different internships. 

It is the year which teenagers had several internships. In this school we have two. It was in different company. 

To start, my first internship was in December in the medical sector, I found it quickly because it’s my physiotherapist, Mr. Jumel who is my internship tutor. I’m very interested to the medical word, particularly the physiotherapy. I am too motivate to learn more. To get this internship, I wrote a cover letter. My second internship was in February in the commercial sector. After this internship observation, every student must write an internship report.

Secondly, my first internship observation took place in St Grégoire. Kinélab settled down in the premises of Vivalto Sport. It’s a company which more than 20 physiotherapists work.

It is difficult to define working hours because the physiotherapist adapts to the availability of his patients. He works most of the time Monday to Friday.

Mr. Jumel neats lot of patients of different ages; young children, adolescents, adults, and some elderly people. It can also be amateur or professional athletes. 

Thirdly, on the one hand, this job has not much good aspect and bad aspect but to be physiotherapist its first of all to render service to the person. You must like the contact to the people.                                      On the other hand, schedules are the biggest downside. In fact, we can work very late. For example, Mr. Jumel can start working early and finish very late. It depends to his working time.

Finally, I’m very interested to work in this sector. Indeed, I ask myself all of questions because I really enjoy the human contact.                                                                                But my other internship was also interesting. I haven’t got any preference, they were both extremely different.

I have done two professional internships in the field of security.

The first one in the police in Rennes, at the GUILLODOT barracks, during the period of December 14 to 16, 2022. 

During this training course, I was welcomed by three non-commissioned officers who made me discover several jobs of the police, such as : dog handler, motorcyclist policeman, investigators ...

The second internship, in a fire station, in Vern-sur-Seiche during the period of 22 to 24 March 2023. 
The firemen made me discover the job by proposing some different activities as : to know how to use the fire hose, to put away the pipes and the first aid gestures.

On the one hand, I can say that :
 

- I was very well received during these two training courses

- They are two interesting and captivating professions

- I had the opportunity to meet police officers from the elite unit (like the PSIG)

On the other hand :

- I was sick during my internship with the fire department

- The police canteen's was not very good. I prefer this one of the school :-)

In conclusion, the internship in the police department confirmed my choice to become a policeman later on.

I did my internship at the CCAS in Rennes to the social sector on the pôle « Service à Domicile ». I worked from thursday to friday february from 8 am to 5pm. I was on contact with a home nurse who looks after elder peoples. During my internship I just watched because the nurse had to do precious care.

On the one hand, every daay is different so you never bored. Were are not locked in an office and it is internship with a lot of contact human. On the other hand, the internship gives a big mental load. We most be precise for the cares and friendly with the elder peoples.

I would be interested in working in that job sector because it’s a job where you help peoples. There are great diversity and it’s not a day to day grind.

 The internship took place in front of the primary school in a building above a nursery. The media library is open to the public from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. There is only one person in charge, apart from the Mayor and we were five young people. We had to store books and scan them on customers’s cards. It was pretty simple and funny.

 On te one hand, it’s a great job because we are surrounded by books, we share our readings with clients and we meet different people.

On the other hand, it's a tiring work, the workinghours are sometimes long and it's better to be comfortable speaking but I don't see any other bad points.

 Finally, I'm interested in working in this sector only for books and the sharing of readings with customers because that’s not really the job I want to do.

I don't have a favorite internship, but I really liked discovering a new sector of activity with the second one.

 The firm which welcomed me is the Pique Prune Restaurant at Cleunay. It is a self- service canteen. It belongs to the catering sector. During the week, you have to work six days out seven from 8.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.. Each day, there are around 4 members of the staff : one of them cooks desserts, an other one prepares the main dish, the third is in charge of the starters. The last one cuts vegetables and makes the customers pay. As a trainee, my duties consist in cutting fruits and helping members. I also had the opportunity to prepare desserts alone.

 On the one hand, I really enjoyed the relationships with customers and members of the staff. In my opinion, it must be so boring to work alone in an office ! 

Besides, you have a great work schedule as you finish to work very early and you haven’t got any duties to do at home.

Then, it must be so pleasant to cook all day long ; members can listen to music while they are working ...

On the other hand, cooking for plenty of people is different from cooking at home : you are always stressed out by the time and your tasks can be extremely repetitive. For instance, I had to break ninety eggs !

Secondly, wages are pretty low and there aren’t many ways to rise in the rank.

To conclude, I am not really interested in working in that field. In fact, I love cooking at home but I don’t think I am ready to cook each day of my life. Moreover, I woud rather have a job which allows me to travel abroad. 

However, this internship was my favourite. I could do many tasks contrary to my second internship which was in the insurance company called MMA.

One of the main tasks I was given was to research potential clients for the company. I had to gather information about different companies and their marketing needs. This involved searching online and making phone calls to get information. I learned a lot about how to conduct research and present findings in a clear and concise way.

In addition, I had the opportunity to attend meetings with clients . I was able to see how the company creates marketing strategies and plans campaign. I also got to observe all the stage .

Overall, my work experience placement was very valuable. 

I also developed my communication and research skill, which will be useful in the future.

Internship in middle school:

I recently completed a work experience placement at a local primary school. During my time there, I worked with a 

 class and assisted the teacher with various tasks.

One of my main responsibilitie was to work with small groups of children on their reading and writing skills. This involved listening to them read and helping them with any difficult words. I also assisted with writing exercises and Héloïse-Luce the children to develop their handwriting.

In addition, I help to prepare classroom materials and resources, I also helped to supervise the children during break times and lunchtimes.

Through my work experience placement, I gained valuable experience working with young children and developed my communication and organisational skill. I learned a lot about how a primary school operates and the important role that teachers play in helping children to learn and grow.
