I think Grace felt embarrassed about her culture at first but soon became proud. Why did she feel embarrassed?

I think grace felt a little different because all of her neighbors were growing different things then her. A question I have from this viewpoint is why is grace ashamed of her culture?

I think Grace is proud of her culture. She at first was sad and jealous that her neighbors were growing flowers until she understood the meaning of the vegetables.

I think she was disappointed in the beginning but in the end she was very proud. A question i have is “why did she want flowers in her garden so badly?”.

I think at first grace felt different from her neighbors because of her culture. Why was grace ashamed of her culture?

I think grace felt left out because everybody but her had beautiful flowers, bursting with color, but then when the vegetables grew, she felt good because they tasted good and every body liked them.

Grace felt a little outcast and strange when she realized what her neighbors where growing vs what she was growing. A question I have from this viewpoint is what was grace so ashamed of what she and her mom was growing compared to her neighbors.

I think grace in the beginning didn’t like her culture but now she loves her culture and is very proud of it.

I think that grace felt confused about her culture at first, but I think that after she and her neighbors tried the soup she felt happy and proud.

I am thinking of being proud of your culture from the view point of grace. I think that grace was feeling left out and not because able to do the thing that her neighbors. A question i have from this view point is why would she think that her religion was different its good to be different and not the same as the other people.

I think Grace before she thought her vegetables were ugly and she wanted to be the same as everyone else. Now Grace thinks her vegetables are great and she likes having everyone have the vegetables. A question I have from this view point is why at first did grace not like her vegetables why didn’t she want to go back to china?

I think that grace felt different because the other people made flowers where as Grace made vegetables that look pretty bad. A question I have is why does she underestimate vegetables or anything?

I think that before Grace found out how good the soup was she felt ashamed of her culture because she was different. After the soup Grace felt proud of her culture when she realized she was the only one in the neighborhood who felt that way. The other neighbors never said that they didn’t like the vegetables, they never even commented on the vegetables. A question I have from this viewpoint it why did grace feel ashamed from the vegetables? Has she always felt that way before she moved?

Grace is ashamed of her culture and she thinks the vegetables from her garden are ugly and bad. She then realizes that everybody likes them and she see why and then she starts to enjoy them and the soup her mom made of them.

I think Graces mom was just telling grace to wait and see. Also she did not tell grace because she wanted her to see for her self that her culture is not something to be ashamed of. Her culture is what made them have the delicious soup.

I think Grace’s mom felt really proud of her couture and was a little sad that Grace was embarrassed. One question i have is why she did not tell Grace sooner about what the vegetables were for?

I think Graces mom was proud of her vegetables becasue she wanted to remember their Chinese culture and not loose it. A question I have from this veiw point is why didn’t her mom tell when she asked the first time?

I think graces mom didn’t care what other people said or thought about what her plants looked like. She just wanted to plant them and make soup out of them, I also think she was disappointed in grace because she thought her own cultures plants were ugly.

I think Grace’s Mom was REALY proud of her culture. A question i have is “Why didn’t Grace’s Mom just tell Grace that she was going to make soup?”.

I think graces mom was believing that her culture was her and her own unique part of her life. A question i had was why was her mom so chill when grace kept asking all the questions its good to be different and her duster finally now s was true to her family.

I think grace’s mom wanted grace to understand that vegetables may not look beautiful, but they taste good and are a different way of great.
Also she wanted to share her culture and make people realize that vegetables have a purpose for happiness.

I think Grace’s mom was completely calm about the questions Grace was asking, I also think that Grace’s mom really wanted for Grace to understand their culture. A question I have is, why didn’t Grace’s mom tell Grace why she was growing these vegetables, why did she wait till the soup was done?

I think Graces mom felt really proud about her culture. She didn’t seem surprised that Grace was acting that way. Another reason why I think she is proud is because she really wanted to give the recipe to other people. A question I have from this view point is did Graces mother know Grace would react this way?

I think Grace’s mom felt sad when her daughter was rude about the vegetables and about their culture, but at the end she was proud of her daughter for understanding the meaning and being able to respect her culture

From Grace's mom’s point of view that she already was proud of her culture, because she had already witnessed what the vegetables could do and what they make. One question I have from this viewpoint is, had Grace’s mom one been like Grace, and was ashamed of the vegetables?

I think that the Mom was being patient and confident because she was waiting until the vegetables had grown, and was confident that she has planted correctly. A question I have is why didn’t Graces mom tell Grace that they were tasty vegetables right away?

I think graces mom always knew how good her vegetables are and that she should always be proud of her culture. She also was never been ashamed of her culture or vegetables.
