In my opinion, poverty is not only associated with income levels, but also related to ethics, moral and some unpreventable disasters. For example, if wealthy encounter a natural disaster, like an earthquake, or if they are involved to a war, they could lose everything they have and get into poverty. Meanwhile, if these rich guys maintain their property without ethics and moral, they could also go bankrupt. I think poverty presents a social group who are struggling with deprivation, but the group members can change their situation by themselves. Thus, I think this point that poverty is linked to income levels is not comprehensive.

Obviously, Income is quite a massive dimension, which is related to poverty. However, there are a large number of different standards to measure poverty like health, education and living standards. Most people who suffered different kinds of deprivation couldn't be able to create their own living conditions by themselves, which is not about money and wealth. Thus, Income is not entirely accurate to measure poverty
