"The necessity of poetry is one of the most fundamental traits of life."

We cannot live life without poetry, seem as if we were created with poetry and it's just a part of us but we just don't know about it.
Like in 'Everyday Use' Dee made it seem like she knew more about herself and her background and decided to changer her name when she went to school but she didn't. She knew of her background, but she didn't know when about the history and where it came from.

"

I agree, because in Dante's Inferno what would be the fourth level of hell because we cannot live on material things as you can see, I would consider that as a part of greed as you can see in the image below. When I read this in high school I really understood the different levels of hell.

"Poetry can be difficult. Learning to read Shakespeare is difficult, and I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone take on T.S. Eliot's "The Wasteland" without some guidance. "
Dude, I thought of basketball when I read this. It's like basketball because people think that basketball is easy till they start to learn how to play, it won't be easy. Because it one of the most difficult sport. There is always some type of difficulty when playing, it learning the plays and learning the is like trying to read Shakespeare is the same. You have to understand how it is written and go from there. then when you get use to it, its just would come naturally to understand.

“In poetry, those men who have written without original and vital feeling, without a flaming imagination, have much to answer for.”
I feel like this can go for art as well. In art history I’ve learned that most paintings, and statues come from their imaginations and come from how they are feeling when creating that particular piece. Example, when Donetello created the David statue people questioned his art work. They wondered why they made him look as if he was weak and a child. Then Michaelangelo recreated the David statue and the people loved it. Michaelangelo made him look strong, fearless, and beautiful. Donetello had much to answer for when he made the David statue.
