John Lennon was part of band called The Beatles, and they wrote songs about peace and promoting it. He had lots of followers who protested against the Vietnam war with him. Yoko and John did lots of bed-ins, where they would stay in their rooms for days to protest the war. While he was doing a bed-in, he wrote one of his most influential songs, "Give Peace a Chance" Actually at one of his protests, protesters sang that song as loud as they could. He protested wars until the day he died.
