The writing bit...
  • You need to write enough to last for at least a minute
  • You must include at least 3 language features (be prepared to discuss which ones you have used and why you used them!)
  • You need to proofread and check your work so that it is as close to perfect as you can make it
  • Swap your work with someone

The reading bit...
  • The timer is set for 60 seconds
  • The timer starts and you or the teacher will read the work out 
  • If the reader hesitates or stumbles over any incorrect writing the timer stops
  • The reader now has to swap (if its the teacher, they will use the next piece of student work)
  • The person left reading (and the owner of the work being read) when the 60 seconds is up gets scores a point
