Santa Delivers
This picture depicts that digital currency is accepted in various places in Canada. A lot of companies will accept certain currencies as a valid proof of payment. The most common currency that is accepted is Bitcoin, but due to its high value a lot of companies will over charge to balance the risk they are taking.

Bitcoin is displayed in gold because of it's higher value, but however other major coins can still hold value. It goes over the use of currency, and what type of vendors would accept is a form of payment. The website also covers the risk of using such currencies, which I feel is valuable knowledge to have before investing in digital currencies.
A piece of information that I found useful, was the fact that you get taxed on digital currency profits. It is noticed a form of income and therefore the government taxes you based on your profit.

10 Types of Cryptocurrencies Other Than Bitcoin
https://www.investopedia.com/tech/most-important-cryptocurrencies-other-than-bitcoin/
This website covers the 10 largest types of digital currencies other than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the largest type of cryptocurrency that there is, but this website will explain the other forms of digital currency and help you pick an investment that can give you a profit. Bitcoin is already so large that there is a line to buy them, if you start with a smaller company then maybe you can expect a bigger profit in the future.
Something that I learned off this website, was how many different companies there are that have such a large market cap. If any of these companies were to grow substantially, then it could be very profitable.

They explain that the government can very likely shut down the currency because it is out of their control. The money is created out of thin air and has a virtual value to it. The government has no control over it's value and the market is capped, which means at some point the value will stop increasing and you can lose big time from it.

It explains that digital currency has a cap of 21 million, meaning no more than 21 million can be in circulation. This cap provides it with more value making it more rare and valuable. Digital currency is made off of the trust that people put in it. Bitcoin only holds the value that we allow it to have. It is also explained how Bitcoin is compared to gold because of the values that it shares. They explain how the value is made and how the prices fluctuate, this video really puts the value of digital currency into perspective.
