I modified the activity the following ways:

-Included additional qualities/ingredients: Kindness, Fun, Goofiness, Compromise, Equality, Respect, Honesty, Trust, Forgiveness, Acceptance, Listening, Helpfulness, Safety

-Attached labels to the ingredients so students could look through the soup pot

-Gave students a handout of all the ingredients with definitions which they also got to take home

-Had students complete a survey to obtain data and identify areas for forther support

This past month I decided to push-in to classes to address any topics or concerns teachers had in the classroom. Some of these topics include self confidence, feelings, tattling, wholesome person, and more. This has been a fun activity and I was able to tune the lesson to the right demographic. :D

I wanted to decorate the board in the wellness center at RSG. I also thought to call it the Mustang Wellness Center.

I added some paintings and a scenic background to our wellness center. It was a joy creating these pieces of art. :)

🎄 Dec 4 – Holiday Tree Decorating: Students added their special touch to our Wellness Center tree, spreading holiday cheer with every ornament.

🍪🎬 Dec 9 – Cookies & Movie: Laughter and sweet treats filled the room as we enjoyed cookies and clips from the classic “Home Alone.”

💌🎨 Dec 16 – Holiday Crafts & Cards: Creativity was in full swing as students crafted heartfelt cards and gifts to share with loved ones.

☕❄️ Dec 19 – Hot Cocoa Bar: We wrapped up the fun with cozy vibes, warm cocoa, and winter cheer on the front lawn!

It’s hard to capture everything that took place in classrooms, the library, and across campus, but this initiative was truly a labor of love. From powerful conversations to thoughtful activities, students explored what it really means to understand and include others. The most meaningful moment were witnessing students reflect more deeply on inclusion — not just those who chose to include, but those who finally felt included. That was everything.

I’m sharing a snapshot of some of the activities and conversations that happened in the Wellness Center, but it’s only a small piece of a very big hearted week.

I had so much fun bringing this to life, and I can't wait to do it again next year and make an even bigger impact. 💙💛
