Why we listen a song again and again ? #1

Listening to the same song over and over is a common habit. There are different reasons for this, including emotions, the brain, and psychology. Emotionally, repeating a song can make us feel like time has stopped, helping us focus on the moment. In terms of the brain, music can remind us of our own experiences, especially through lyrics or certain parts of a song. Psychologically, there is an idea called the "mere exposure effect." This means that when we listen to something many times, it feels more familiar. Because we discovered the song ourselves, we feel connected to it and enjoy it more. (I'm listining this song over and over again, right now.)

This question came to my mind after I didn't want to watch any movies during the holiday in the last few weeks (mostly, I like watch something). I thought about my reasons for watching something, and mostly, I didn’t have one. So, I decided to look for some boring stuff about these boring situations (I even found a name for my illness—JOKE).

Dopamine Drain is when you overconsume dopamine-skipping activities, and your brain gets desensitized. That means normal life activities even feel boring for you because your brain craves easy dopamine hits instead.

If we come to my story, I think I got bored of watching something like movies because I have a dopamine overdose, and watching movies has become just a normal activity for me.

In short, I think I should do some detox for Instagram and TikTok.

Why do we shy ? #3

I've always been a shy person, ever since I was a child. Sometimes, my parents connected this to my age or simply said, "He doesn’t like to talk too much." Incorrectly, I am a shy person, but if I start talking, you can't stop me easily.

With all that, we come to my question for today: "Why do we experience shyness?" Weirdly, our boring yet lovely science guys have done some research on whether shyness is a genetic trait or not.

They haven’t found the absolute truth, but for children, shyness might be a genetically based trait. However, for adults, they can’t say the same. Anxiety in adults and other people might be linked to their dopamine gene, and maybe children could be shy because of that too.

That sounds reasonable, but when I look at myself, I don’t think so (my family members aren't shy), but I still believe we need a more psychological reason. Looking at the psychological aspect, researchers say shyness can be a normal trait, a natural defense mechanism. I'm glad to hear that because it means I’m not a drama king. (If I’m shy, that’s not a problem.)

But yeah, I need an answer, and this marks the end of the third day.

Why are we prone to procrastination? #4

If you have been a student like me, you must have delayed something, and you must have heard a psychologist put a name to it: procrastination. What is this procrastination, and why are we prone to it? Procrastination is the act of delaying or often choosing to do more enjoyable or easier activities instead of the more important or challenging ones. Some factors might cause it. Procrastination can lead to more stress and lower productivity. Many psychological theories and perspectives identify similar reasons for procrastination. For example, short-term pleasure vs. long-term goals, fear (failure, judgment, or overwhelming tasks), poor impulse control, or self-regulation. They use these examples for anxiety and depression, ADHD, fear of failure, and lack of confidence. In conclusion, all these problems have the same reasons and background, and this delay or propensity to it just gets bigger problems for us.

Nobody likes homework, and maybe our homework is not totally necessary, but good homework is important for a student. Homework allows students to practice and reinforce what they have learned in class, helping to solidify concepts. The more they practice, the more likely they are to remember it long-term. At the same time, they can solve problems with this practice, manage their life habits, and make their college or work life easier. Maybe we can change our educational system or what we know about the meaning of homework, but overall, students need homework for their future and for our future.

Why do we want to explore new places? #7

Exploring new places is an essential part of human nature, driven by curiosity, adventure, and the desire for new experiences. For me, the biggest reason I want to explore new places is the memories I create. Sometimes, I remember laughing with my friends, my first reaction when I saw a place, or even the music I was listening to at the time. These kinds of memories push me to explore more and more. Scientists explain this connection in three main ways. The first is mental traveling, which is the ability to mentally revisit past experiences. This helps organize memories episodically. The second is sensory engagement, meaning that new places can unlock memories stored in our brains. The last one is hippocampal actions, commonly known as the doorway effect, the phenomenon where you forget something after leaving a room but remember it when you return. In summary, exploring new places stimulates our senses and sparks neural activity, helping us recall old memories that are similar to or connected with the places we visit.

I want to take a question from my friend every week. This is our first friend question (I just made up a rule because I don't have any idea for today, but I think it's not a bad idea). When I want to be focused (literally me), I listen to something there, not some volume like when I listen to them. I want to look from this perspective to question. I have an idea. We might want a background voice like a kitchen; I give this example because I liked studying in the kitchen when I was a child. Let's look at what they say about it (or exactly boring scientists, guys, no offense). Studies have found that low-level background noise, such as natural sounds, can stress recovery. Some other scientists say we should practice that for our brains to meet with a more familiar voice and get easier focus. Thank you, my friends and the guys.

I ask this question because today is freezing. When I was in the study room for an online class, I was freezing there, and in every break, I just went to a radiator to get warm. I am sitting in my dorm room, and I ask myself why I am freezing. We feel cold because our bodies are constantly regulating temperature to maintain homeostasis. When the environment is colder than our body temperature (which is around 37°C or 98.6°F), we lose heat to our surroundings. This happens with some process. Direct contact with cold surfaces like ice or cold objects, cold air, or water moving over our skin takes away heat. A good example of this is cologne. Cold air or water moving over our skin takes away heat. Sweat or moisture on our skin evaporates, which cools us down.

I was shocked about it, and I asked that question myself. One popular explanation is that detergent is more effective at breaking down oils and stains due to its chemical composition, especially in hard water. Another theory suggests that detergents specifically designed for washing machines yield superior cleaning results without leaving any residue. Both reasons contribute to making laundry more efficient and convenient.

Today will be short I asked that my roomates this tme and we make so much cheatchating but I cant talk about that in hear. Dreaming about daily life is common because the brain processes recent experiences and emotions while we sleep. These dreams may help with memory consolidation, problem-solving, or emotional regulation. The subconscious mind often replays familiar events, sometimes adding surreal or unexpected elements. This can be a way for the brain to make sense of real-life situations.

I like reading books but I just read a book at two months (and I dont have any discussion about it) so Todays question is. Many people struggle to read books regularly due to distractions, lack of time, or difficulty focusing. In a fast-paced world, digital entertainment often competes with reading, making it harder to develop the habit. Additionally, some people lose motivation if they don’t find a book engaging. Creating a reading schedule and choosing topics of interest can help overcome this challenge.

Sweets trigger the release of dopamine, a "feel-good" neurotransmitter in the brain. This creates a sense of pleasure and reward, similar to addictive substances. Other foods, especially non-sugary ones, do not stimulate dopamine in the same way, making them less addictive. When we eat sweets, our blood sugar levels spike quickly, giving us an energy boost. However, this is followed by a crash, which leads to cravings for more sugar. This cycle keeps people coming back for more, addiction-like behavior.

Today I chose which one is closer for my self. Stress, anxiety, poor sleep hygiene, and physical discomfort are significant factors affecting sleep quality, especially among students. (like me as well) The first one is Anxiety, it makes it difficult to fall and stay asleep, creating a cycle where lack of sleep worsens stress. Another one is Habits like irregular sleep schedules, late caffeine consumption, and screen use before bed disrupt sleep cycles, leading to poor sleep quality.

I miss our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and I decided to ask this line for a question version today. The line is actually one of the best sides of this lane; it's carrying the actual name of Spider-Man. Spider-Man's main reason for love from everybody is the philosophy of beyond: everybody could be a Spider-Man. This line shows some special meanings. The phrase "With great power comes great responsibility" means that those who have significant power, influence, or ability must use it wisely and ethically. People with power can impact the lives of many people with decision-making or influence. Bad usage power can cause harm, while using it responsibly can create positive change. Decisions made by powerful individuals often have a ripple effect, influencing many people beyond their immediate reach. A responsible choice can lead to stability and progress, while reckless actions can cause chaos.

Why people traumatizing their childhood memories? #21

I get many ideas from my roommates. Last night, we discussed our childhood traumas and other traumas, such as getting a meme on the web. Some traumas are special, but most of them are actually similar for each of us. I am actually not a traumatized person, and I want to ask, “Why are people traumatizing their childhood memories?”

People, when they revisit their memories, try to find some connections, but most of the time these connections aren’t real because people’s brains don’t work like a camera; you can’t see what is going on at a specific time; you just memorize them, and your feelings are a bigger part of this struggle.

Some scientific results about this topic I can find standing on two main points. The first one is memories and emotional connection. Memories are not a perfect recording of the past and are influenced by emotions and present circumstances (like what I said previously). The second one is social and cultural dynamics. Modern psychology and social media start to use our childhood traumas for research and influence. This new impact pushes people to share their childhood traumas much more. In this case, personal storytelling and social validation help this struggle because dramatic stories affect many more people.

Understanding childhood traumas is important for psychology, but our daily lives transform this into a struggle

Support metabolic health helps regulate blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. Fasting may improve cardiovascular health by lowering blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglycerides. Fasting triggers autophagy, a process where cells remove damaged components, and promotes longevity. Fasting has been associated with reduced markers of inflammation, which is linked to various chronic diseases. About these benefits there are many researches with facts.

Why don’t people eat food on the streets in Japan? #24

Today's question comes from one of my favorite YouTube channels, Elliot Choy’s Tokyo vlog. Elliot said he was getting nervous eating food on the street. Thereafter, I decided to ask this question for today, but the real reason is I feel nervous when I want to eat something on the street. People generally avoid eating while walking on the streets due to cultural norms and social etiquette in Japan. One of these reasons is respect for cleanliness. People increase the risk of spilling food or leaving trash behind. The streets are highly valued for their cleanliness. People would rather not avoid other people's special smells with what they eat. In Japanese culture, meals are meant to be enjoyed while sitting down rather than consumed on the go. Eating while walking in the past was associated with a lower social status, thereby reinforcing the notion that one should eat properly at designated places. Since Japan has limited public trash cans, people are expected to carry their trash with them. Eating on the go would make this inconvenient. However, in designated food areas like near convenience stores or at standing food stalls.

Why does France want to plant 170,000 trees in Paris? #25

"France, particularly Paris, is actively pursuing the planting of 170,000 trees within the city by 2026 as part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance urban greenery, combat climate change, and improve residents' quality of life. This initiative aims to transform Paris into one of Europe's greenest capitals." I saw this kind of news, and I decided to ask myself today this question. Some research says more trees in the area get lower greenhouse gases, and Paris has a problem with this. The addition of trees helps lower ambient temperatures in cities, countering the heat retention typically observed in urban areas. Increasing green spaces enriches the visual appeal of the city and offers recreational areas for residents, thereby enhancing overall well-being.

I see a post on Instagram about camera lenses and I learned actually they don’t have any colorful lenses, lenses just capture the light snd this lights filtered before come to lenses. This colorful filters have three main colors red, green and blue (RGB).

This filters invented by Bryce Bayer. While he work at Kodak he find this filtered system (3-CCD) and filters took his name Bayer. Another interesting thing about this filters they have 3 colors but cause of the squre systems of this filters they have two green and the color code of bayer filtration is RGGB. If you want to make more true color photos like space photography, you should to use this filters one by one. After pictures taken, compared colors.

Food is not just something we eat; it is a way to bring people together. Every culture has its own food, and when we share meals, we also share traditions, stories, and emotions.

Eating together helps people feel closer. Families sit at the table to talk, friends meet for dinner, and even in work or school, sharing food creates stronger relationships. This is called commensality, which means eating together as a social activity.

Food is also an important part of our identity. What we eat shows where we come from and what traditions we follow. When we try food from different cultures, we learn about new ways of life and understand each other better.

Even in big communities, food helps people connect. Festivals, celebrations, and public meals bring strangers together and create a sense of belonging. In everyday life, people often choose food based on what their friends or family like, showing how social connections influence our eating habits. To show this idea, we created an illustration of people from different cultures sharing a meal. It represents how food unites us, no matter where we come from. Food is not just about eating it is about sharing, learning, and building relationships.

Surprisingly, I liked it even more this time than before. It was already my all-time favorite when I first watched it, and it still is.

At first, the film felt like a purely mystical story, but now I see its modern aspects and underlying critiques, which is amazing. A movie that can embody multiple layers of meaning allows us to watch it again and again, discovering something new each time.
