Its design is contain a generic website purposely used by all main services today, similar to its shape and for to Spotify, another famous brand selling the exact same idea. After researching into it I found it Apple Music changed it's plausible typeface a couple of time, having a variety of different fonts, yet still being very legible and strong. The following fonts were used: Myriad Lucida Grande, Helvetica Neue and Avenir. Its logo mark is very legible and stands on it own as it is a representation of a global company. The incorporation of the music note into such an already famous brand makes it all the visible, straightforward, it gets it message across. The icons is very literal. The colour palette is a gradient variation of both pink, purple and white, with a liquid pattern following behind. The app and its executing is quite powerful and successful, the app is easy to navigate. It isfunctional, then again being a part of a bigger brand, one would hope so it would be perfect in its execution. Its core experience and visual interface are quite computerised, very systematic, almost as if they belong as a softwere app, which in way, being a part of Apple, they are. Its brand visual identity lies within a variety of symbols, 3D shapes, imagery, and is not as categorized as lets say Spotify is. Album covers being thrown into this collage doens't not communicate a message. The interface as said before, it very generic, lack energy, could use an animation of the graphic assets to bring a bit of excitement to the whole webite. Otherwise it would end up looking steryl as most of the interface is white, which is fine due to legibility but also lacks originality and a
 direct though-tout process. There is not linkage between its graphic element and components. Its visual products lack clarity, going by its name it is quite obvious, however when different come to portrayal, it looses it visual aim as a product and app. There are way too many things going on within the website when it comes to iconography, a variety of different ones, which are not relevant at all, most certainly used just to occupy space. The Mixcloud logo is very bland and unimaginative, lacks excitement. The logo literal and legible, but the whole brand identity is lost as it is not representation in a correct way. A lot of use of the achromatic colours, a very impoverish colour pallet. There is no use of imagery to help build a certain visual language. The app is quite hard to navigate  with an abundance of different elements. The interface is more of less very generic, uses the black background as a distinguishing competent, while most other streaming apps use the achromatic white. 
There is an dosage of originality with the typeface as well, however it legible. There is not clear image of the product, which is uncleanly representation in old animations or promo videos. We were instructed to building our own culture that reflects the 3 words, the 3 personality traits Mixcloud wanted to represent; Brave, Connector and Empathetic. Kent's works features an abundance of very organic looking art all tied down together with an amazing colour pallet, metaphorically speaking linking pattern, colour and spaces to pursue an emotional concept, which to me fit perfectly within our theme of; connecting emotionally with music . Trying to step away from the app from looking sterile and generic and making it look fun and intriguing, something that would draw attention at first sight. The fact that a simple shape followed by a word drenched in its complimentary colour could work its way into a whole visual language and identity with using certain element to building, the logo mark, the icons, the graphic assets and the colours. Thought most of my colour I've decided on came from the Image Boards, I've also explored the impact colours used in Kent's works as well. Her usage and example of type is very powerful and dominant, being brave in its execution. The very first shape I've made was a 3D square with tied itself in a pattern. I've tried to link both both geometrical shapes within the same pattern accompanied with complementary colour for a more drastic visual effect. My most successful fully executed theme was the Mid-century half circles which talks about the compact design invented with the Mid-century era, which red being connect to the geometrical shape of the square as per Theory of Colour, and blue being connected to the circle as an ongoing fluid shape. The entire pattern, works well together and has helped me build a larger theme based on it. I've already picked on a colour pallets, the circles and square certainly helped me decided the designs of the icons and the initial design of the logo mark, as the both shapes are very dominant and work well together. After our Glyph workshop, I've decided to tweek and manipulate an already systematic and generic typeface in an attempt to make the letter seem melodic. My final outcome consisted of the letter O where the parameters of the inside circle formed an ellipses shape, which resembles a music note. The letter O being my starting point, I then decided to manipulate other letters used for Mixcloud to fit in with the initial shape of the O and also create marrige between the typeface and the pattern of the Mid Century half circles. I've changed the parametters of the letter D, as well, as it has a similar interier contruction as the oh, the glow of the oval shape formed on the inside fit perfectly. I've also manipulated the letters M and U as well, both latter an interrnal shape, however, making their decneders shorter the usual, makes them fit into the the Mixcloud visual language I'm trying to build. As for the icon, I've decided on the letter O, simply because it does look like a separate shape, it ties back to the typeface, and it resembles and music notes, it also works well with my initial colour set I've decided upon on at the beginning of the project.

Even thought I've decided not to pursue such theme because I've already started building the visual language for my other theme. The colour set for this theme is very minimal and quite tamed when compared to the first initial theme, however with the interface in the achromatic colour of black, the colours have a totally different effect. The typeface is much more fluid, shapely, very light and quite practical. It gets lost behind the design and is also a reason why I'm not using it. The shapes and patterns are very easily derived from the the initial graphic asset, however, they don't seem strong enough to carry a brave visual and graphic language. I find the whole theme doesn't work when compared to the 3 personality traits Mixcloud offered. It lacks depth and boldness, even thought the systematic grid could work for the design of the app and website, the initial theme needs more

I like how the usage of the colours palette plays in with the brand manual. I'm also doing that in my Brand Manual, as well. This kind of Brand Manual could also be a part of the photography essentials, as you're trying to display images both on an app based platform, as well as, a more analogue platform in the form of advertisements. It a very eye catching concept without being too over board, the illustrations are also very minimal in detail. However, they are very assertive, and the layout of the poster, on the page is very symmetrical. There is a clear division between between the information and illustration, being that the lines made, are not ruining 
the overall design of the posters. I like the neutral background as it brings to light different aspects of the Native Native colour palette. I also like how it utilizes a couple of different typefaces, as they are presented in different blocks to match the colour palette in the style scape layout. The scape is very clean, in its attempt  to show the essentials such as the logo ( in this case the icon) and the main logo ( a full word-mark). I also like how the typography is drawn out into 3 different sections with the colour separation into 3 parts, as mentioned below. The typography is also stretched (the width is changed, it is almost as 1 letters hold both numbers and letters. I like how they utilized the stroke in the first letter B and downwards the letter T.
