Links to build them

https://www.science-sparks.com/how-to-make-a-catapult/

https://www.stem-inventions.com/class-1-catapult

What Is A Catapult?

A catapult is a cool machine that launches things really far! It doesn't use gunpowder or other fuels. Instead, it uses stored energy to throw objects. Think of it like a giant slingshot! Most catapults work by slowly building up energy, often by twisting ropes, bending wood, or stretching elastic materials. Then, they suddenly release this energy to launch their payload.

Catapults have been used for a very long time, especially in wars. They were super effective for attacking castles and cities. Today, the word "catapult" can mean anything from a small slingshot you hold in your hand to a huge machine that helps launch airplanes from a ship!

The first catapults appeared around the 7th century BC. King Uzziah of Judah, for example, had machines on the walls of Jerusalem that could shoot "great stones." Catapults are even mentioned in ancient Indian texts. In China, the mangonel, a type of catapult, showed up in the 5th century BC. The ancient Greeks also invented catapults in the early 4th century BC and used them in battles.

What Does 'Catapult' Mean?

The word 'catapult' comes from the Latin word 'catapulta'. This word itself came from the Greek word katapeltēs. It's made of two parts: kata, meaning "downwards," and pallō, meaning "to toss" or "to hurl." So, it literally means "to hurl downwards"! The ancient Greeks and people in ancient India were among the first to invent and use these machines.

Link to the information above and it has more interesting and cool facts about catapults https://kids.kiddle.co/Catapult

My habitat for Gorillas is located in the Rainforest. Rainforests are dense forests characterized by high rainfall, a closed tree canopy, and a rich diversity of plant and animal species. They are primarily found in tropical regions near the equator, such as the Amazon in South America and the Congo in Africa, as well as in temperate areas like the Pacific Northwest of North America. (Information found on Wikipedia and National Geographic.)

How many types of Gorillas are there and where can they be found?

There are two species of gorillas: the eastern gorilla and the western gorilla. Each species is further divided into two subspecies, making a total of four recognized subspecies, Eastern Gorilla: Includes the Mountain Gorilla and Eastern Lowland Gorilla.

Western Gorilla: Includes the Western Lowland Gorilla and Cross River Gorilla.

Both species are critically endangered, with the exception of the Mountain Gorilla, which is classified as endangered.

Eastern Low Land Gorilla are the largest of the gorillas and a mature male is called a silver back due to the silver fur on the back part of their bodies.

Silverback male gorillas can be up to 6 feet tall and weigh as much as 300 to 430 pounds.

Gorillas are primarily herbivorous and their diet mainly consists of leaves, stems, bark, fruit, and other plant parts but also if available grubs, ants termites and other insects. Gorillas communicate using a variety of vocal sounds, including grunts and grumbles, as well as nonverbal cues like body posture and facial expressions.

Predators of Gorillas are very few but there are some, one being a crocodiles, although incidents with these reptiles are unlikely.

Other possible predators are crocodiles lurking motionless in the water and can attack them when they come to drink or when they walk in the middle of swamp forests. However, incidents with these reptiles are unlikely since Gorillas rarely drink water directly from rivers or swamps. Leopards rarely prey on adult male gorillas, usually, they avoid “silverback” leaders that are stronger and focus on young individuals or offspring. The worst predator of gorillas are human beings called poachers, A poacher is someone who illegally hunts or captures wild animals, often disregarding laws and regulations meant to protect wildlife, poachers typically prioritize profit over conservation and can harm animal populations and ecosystems.

you can fine what I have written on (Wikipedia, cleavelandzoosociety.org africangorilla.com monkeys.alloftheanimals.com gorillasworld.com https://www.ifaw.org/journal/what-is-poaching some information was found on google AI

The Importance of Pollination and Pollinators, Welcome to My Flower Garden.

A Pollinator something like an animal, bug or lizard that moves pollen from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma of a flower. This helps to bring about fertilization of the ovules in the flower by the male gametes form the pollen grains. Some Pollinators are butterflies, bees, moths, beetles, flies, lemurs, lizards, possums geckos, gnats, slugs and wasps. Pollination is important because without pollination the human race and all of earths ecosystems will not survive. The water cycle depends on plants, but without pollination there will not be any plants. How do butter flies pollinate, a butterfly pollinates by using it's proboscis, a proboscis is like a straw which the butterfly uses to get to the nectar in the flower. Pollination works by when a pollinator goes to a flower yellow stuff called pollen falls on the pollinator, when the pollinator goes to another flower some of the pollen lands on the flower. Pollinators pollinate flowers that are colorful and smell nice but they will also pollinate noncolorful flowers and even plants or flowers that do not smell nice. Hope you enjoy my wild flower garden with all the different types of pollinators (look closely) and you will see them.

Information taken from sideshow kids, the the lemur center of Duke University as well as the US Forest service and Wikipedia under the word Pollinator.
