This should continue: it's power is
we now have multiple cohort teams that continue the work year-to-year and have a connection not just from their own group but across cohort years: I now have a point of reference on leadership with multiple people from multiple positions who follow up each year. It isn't just dropped.

I feel that the district would benefit from the continuation of the Gettysburg Leadership Conference. Through the experience I built relationships with people that I may have not come into contact. It is also important to share the vision of shared leadership.

The Gettysburg Experience develops leadership on the Battlefield-it is a life changing experience. It inspired me to work to be a leader in all aspects-to be a leader in my grade level- an active leader at my school site and take part in activities to be a part of the San Jacinto difference.

Being apart of the first year, it is amazing to see after several years that we still advocate leading in 4 directions. We were able to deepen this understanding by more people going and sharing this vision. Now going out to other conferences, I am able to share out what our district does and see that we are in the forefront for leadership. Other people from other states were amazed by this and that we include employees from all areas of the district. It made proud to be apart of the San Jacinto Difference.

Yes! I think SJUSD should continue providing the Gettysburg Experience because new leaders are being created through the experience. Staff who might not see themselves as leaders are realizing that they are and how they can improve and expand their skills. GE gives tools to build confidence and skill.

I believe it is important to continue Gettysburg and keep the same format. This will continue to build leadership at all levels; in the classroom, through our classified staff and at the district level.

We should continue to send select staff to attend, ones that are longterm to the SJ Difference. It is not for the faint of heart nor the transitory in employment.

It is worthwhile. We are still utilizing our learning four years later. It is entrenched in our culture and important to continue. The application process is a great new addition! We will have to keep an eye on finances as funding dries up.

I believe that SJUSD should continue to provided the Gettysburg Experience. The valuable leadership and team building experiences are priceless.

Yes, I think that we need to continue the experience. We also need to be selective on who we send. It needs to be staff members that have our culture and the desire to dedicate their time with our district. We have sent a great deal of staff that has left our district or do not live the San Jacinto Difference. It is a life changing experience. I would also like the opportunity to go for a refresher, maybe with another group to continue to build on our leadership skills.

It was a great experience! Having certificated and classified staff come together was powerful. The trip allowed us to come together on foreign land and share an unique experience.

The continued Gettysburg trip has positive outcome if it is the focus of off site trips it adds to a bonding that is building a group of connected leaders over time. i see it adding a connection of people that is hard to put a value on besides the learning that those that attend find so much value in.

It should be continued to allow more equity like taking special education and resource personnel to develop as site leaders and personal leaders to step outside the box to include rigorous standards and removal of watered down curriculum.

Yes. The Gettysburg trip allowed me to see, feel, learn and reflect! The fact that we have staff from throughout the District is in itself is very powerful
