Something that resonated with me was Ruby's age- this was not long ago. My parents were in school at that time. People were so angry about something as simple as a child wanting to go to school. It seems trivial now, but caused such an uproar. I think more than even it is my responsibility to provide a safe space for my students to learn and also my mentee to progress.
