Nick Mira is a Hip-Hop/Rap producer, part of the Internet Money group. Collaborating with artists such as Juice WRLD, he uses MIDI keyboards and guitars to produce "melodic" and "spacious" beats into FL Studio. Nick's style of production and process in terms of producing beats is what inspired me to produce my own Soundcloud rap beats in FL studio, similar to that of Nick Mira's beats.

Soundcloud Rap is a genre/era of Hip-Hop/Rap that involves driving 808s, lyrics involving money, drug abuse, sex and struggles and a series of synths and guitars, mostly produced in unprofessional bedroom studios. Artists that are involved in this genre are Juice WRLD, XXXTentacion, Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Peep. This era evolved my taste in music and opened my eyes to new ways of expression and production. This genre inspired me to produce Soundcloud Rap type beats and also my own Soundcloud Rap songs.

Pop punk is a sub-genre of rock, known for its fast-paced, energetic tempos and anti-suburbia themes. A heavy influence of most Soundcloud rap artists like Lil Peep and Juice WRLD, it's emo-style mixed with that of 90s and 00s Hip-hop/RnB allowed for this fusion to produce Emo Rap and soft grunge. Conclusively, the influence of pop punk on Soundcloud rap artists have influenced the genre of Soundcloud Rap as a whole.

Artists had a heavy desire for clout to reach their goals in the Soundcloud Rap era. By posting tracks relentlessly, artists were able to gain fans and ultimately a chain reaction occurred due to the collaboration of fellow Soundcloud Rap artist. Beginning with Lil Uzi Vert, which led to the discovery of Playboi Carti. Even XXXTentacion led to the discovery of fellow Florida rapper Ski Mask The Slump God and nearly all artists of the era that were from Florida were all connected. These connections and the simultaneous blow up of these artists led to the eventual rise in popularity of the whole Soundcloud rap scene altogether.

Soundcloud is a streaming platform that allows artists to freely post their music. During the era of Soundcloud Rap, the ability to release music without a label allowed for an unlimited amount of tracks that enhanced the popularity of the genre. Before artists released their music onto larger streaming platforms, they could post to Soundcloud for free in order to gain traction and usually ended in cult-like fanbases. This allowed the whole Soundcloud Rap scene to blow up.
