What led me to make this was one thing that we have all been using recently, mask. I wanted to highlight what covid and quarantine meant to me. I chose to not incorporate many colors to emphasize that quarantine was not a positive experience for most people especially teens.

This can be interpreted in different ways. The subject resembles a happy girl to whoever she comes into contact with. The black silhouette of the subject illustrates how she feels and what she thinks about herself. The words and scribbles in the figure emphasize the tornado of emotion she can feel without anyone even knowing it. The tape over the eyes is supposed to be like when you close your eyes and need to think, all you see is black and you can picture things in your mind. The message I wanted to portray in this art is that in "Reality" people don't speak about how they feel.
