We now have vaccines to prevent more than 30 life-threatening diseases and infections, helping people of all ages live longer, healthier lives. Immunization currently prevents 3.5 million to 5 million deaths every year from diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), influenza and measles.

• All eligible Year 13 students (born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008)

• Young people under 25 years of age who are starting university for the first time in autumn 2026

• Young people under 25 moving into further education accommodation or halls of residence for the first time in autumn 2026

Eligible students will require two doses of the MenB vaccine for protection. The first dose will be available from late July, with the second dose available from August. These sessions provide a convenient opportunity to ensure children are fully protected and to support families who may have found it difficult to access vaccinations previously. All vaccinations are provided completely free of charge.
