All of our Admitted COED Students are required to complete State Exams before being eligible for Student/Clinical Teaching : Below you will find the names of these exams depending on your specific Major.

Certification exams required by Majors:

Elementary Majors: Special Education, Early Learning, & Bilingual (CORE SUBJECTS EC-6 & STR EXAM)

Secondary Majors: Art, English, Spanish, History, Kinesiology, Music, Science & Math: (Content EXAM)

All majors require PPR exam Please email texesprep@tamiu.edu for Testing guidance and questions.

*1st day of class -Monday Aug 25, 2025

*Tuition and Fees Due -Friday Aug 22, 2025 (100 late fee after Friday)

*Final Late Registration Day- Aug 29, 2025(course changes with Permission with instructor until Sept 9, 2025)

*No more registration after & Final Day to drop courses without record -Nov 20, 2025

*Graduation deadline with registrar's office- Sept 30, 2025 ($100 late fee after today)

*Wintermester & Spring 25 opens -Nov 3, 2025.
