Your award (GCU) is a GCU award and it is jointly delivered with the Institution of Railway Operators (IRO). My name is Marty Wright and I am the module leader for your 1st module which is entitled Continuing Personal and Professional Development. I am also the Level Leader for the whole of the Diploma Level and so our paths will invariably cross regularly. 

I would like you to use this padlet wall to introduce yourself to the others in your class / programme. You will be together from module 1 through to the end of module 5.   This is a work-based programme  defined as :

Learning through work, for  work and at  work ( Gray 2001)

....Students* are full-time employees whose programme of study is embedded in the workplace and is designed to meet the learning needs of the employees and the aims of the organisation.’  (Sodiechowska and Maisch 2006)

SOOOOOOOOO.....you will learn huge amounts from each other and you should not be afraid to ask each other how different TOCs do things  

Some of you will be more knowledgable and comfortable with certain modules than others, some more knowledgable about certain subject areas- that is because you will see when this padlet wall is fully populated you all work in different roles in different companies.
