Artificial Intelligence, online tutoring, and real-time translation technology is now affordable and accessible. I wonder if that has had an impact on the declining trend. Do students see utility in committing to learning a language when their watch can produce real time translation and speech? Skype now offers realtime translation in live videoconferences.
