INTENTIONAL CLOSURE: DESMOS Calculator for Algebra 1 by Ivan Villegas

Answer the following prompt: How and When should you introduce DESMOS to your students? Do we necessarily need DESMOS to answer all the questions we explored today? What is 1 way you can use DESMOS as a tool in class?

Desmos can be incorporated into most units in Algebra I by using it as a checking tool to verify answers. We want to encourage kids to know how to complete problems algebraically, however, in the times we live in, Desmos and digital math resources are prevalent. I believe implementing Desmos as a checker will build their computer/online calculator skills while still giving them the opportunity to practice by hand.
