Hi, guys! My name is Nur Qystyna Shakiera however my friends usually refer to me as Rara. I'm sixteen years old in a few more weeks and my school is SMKAMi. That was a pretty lame introduction but I don't really know what other way I should start this. I'm a boarding school student so I'm afraid that I can't really reply instantly or interact frequently. My teacher instructed me to do a lengthy introduction but really, I'm only talkative in real life.
My hobbies are reading books in all forms, cycling and playing badminton. My favorite book is either Six of Crows or the manga, Kaiju no.8. I prefer reading physical copies of books rather than e-book versions because I tend to procrastinate a lot. My favorite fictional character is Jason Todd aka the Red Hood from DC comics. I kin Bakugou Katsuki from MHA.
I don't really know what I want to do in life as my dream to be a lawyer was rejected by my parents. Perhaps an aeronautical engineer or a teacher would be my future career path. I love music and I'm a versatile person so I listen to all genres with no regard of who's the singer, band or producer. I do however love Conan Gray, Artic Monkeys and Seventeen. Fuji Kaze and Adele are also my top favorites.
Really, I'm just blurting out random things to fulfill my teacher's request. On the other hand, please do tell if you were affected by my words now and in the future as I do not wish to offend anyone. That's lengthy enough, I suppose. Goodbye.

A policy that I consider very important to me is Malaysia's National Woman Policy. From a young age, I have seen people close to me who kept being mistreated by the male gender. Excuse me if my words are too formal, considering that we are still strangers, I don't find it respectful to text to you in an informal way. This is just my opinion, I don't mind if you lot use less formal language. In fact, I'd like that.
Moving back to the topic, as I have personally seen this happen, it affected majority of my opinions growing up. Back when I was younger, I kept acting like how a boy would because the ideology that men is better than women influenced me. It made me feel ashamed to be the 'weaker' gender. However, rest assured I have grown out of that immature thinking.
Though the government is taking measures to better this issue, I would have to say that their efforts on a deeper value is futile. What I mean is, if you go to rural areas where these measures are not really practiced, it's obvious that these type of ideologies are the way of life there.
It's important to me as I am a young girl who's about to graduate and go into adulthood soon. I don't know about you but stepping into a world where you're treated either like a vermin or a breeding machine is not fun. I'm not saying that Malaysia is a place with such thinking but you have to agree that there are still many parts of the world that have this kind of thinking.
I guess that's it from me, I just want to keep this short and simple though I doubt that.

Hi everyone! I'm Aida Syafia from SMK Seri Tualang. You can call me Aida. I'm 16 years old and the youngest of 4 siblings. Everyone in this programme has given their brilliant statement and now I would like to share mine. Personally, i think poverty eradication policy is the most crucial for both Malaysia and the USA as if many poor people are struggling to sustain their life in both countries. As a Malaysian, I'm aware that they are number of citizens who are having limited access to food, education and other basic needs. Based on my research and the exposure on social media about poverty in the USA, I acknowledge that certain people are affected financially and unable to survive. As a result, I can see many of them are homeless. As a human being, I empathise those people who are struggling with poverty. Hence, I think poverty eradication policy is important for both countries and other countries as well.

Hello everyone!
I am so excited for this collab! It is nice to meet y'all! My name is Kimberly Ard, but Kim is fine :). I am 28 years old and my major is Computer Science. My goal is to one day make fun video games. I graduated high school in 2013, did a couple years of community college then joined the Army. I got to travel and live in cool places like South Korea. I finished my contract with the Army and came back home to California the end of 2020. I discovered my love for computers in the Army so I decided to go back to school and get a Bachelors degree. I live a couple hours away from my campus and commute to class around 6am. California has a lot of traffic, so it is a long drive. My hobbies and interests are mostly video games, scary movies, and coding in C++. I think that about sums my life up. Can't wait to talk to everyone! :)

Hello everybody, my name is Erick Zeferino. I am 22 years old and am currently studying Computer Science. I am originally from Santa Ana, OC area of California but moved to the San Diego area for school. I currently live with 3 other roommates in an apartment near campus, but am always working or at school so I never see them that often. This is my first year at Cal State San Marcos after transferring from Orange Coast Community College where I got my Associates of Science in Physics and Computer Science. I also did a hybrid teaching degree at the University of Irvine, California for Teaching Math and Science. Currently, I am a manager at a popular fast food restaurant and mostly focus on school and use all my free time to study. Some hobbies that I enjoy are anything with graphic design creation, working out, and listening and discovering new music. In the future, I hope to work in science research, using computer science as a tool to move farther in scientific discoveries.

Hi all! I'm sorry for the late introduction. My name is Joaquin, I am 30 years old and will hopefully be graduating at the end of this semester. My major is in Communications, and the field I would like to work in is game design. I grew up on a farm in a small town in Southern California, where my family owned sheep, chickens, and other animals. As soon as I was an adult I moved to the city of San Diego. My favorite hobbies are painting, tabletop gaming, and hiking.

Concerning our class discussion, I am excited to learn how our two countries differ on policy when it comes to both addressing poverty, and gun control. I'm curious on everyone's general thoughts on poverty. Here are some questions to consider: Is it a large/small problem? Do you see it everyday? Are there words you associated with the poverty problem (negative or positive)? Do you think your country should do more or less to fight poverty? Does your country spend too much on poverty policies or not enough? Can you pinpoint any reasons for the poverty problem? Do some groups get more help then other groups, or is everyone equally being helped with current poverty policies? What do the current poverty policies help with (healthcare, food security, unemployment, education, childcare, etc.)?

1.Direction of Foreign Policy;

How is poverty policies addressed in Malaysia? I know very little about it. Is it like the welfare system here in America where you need to prove that you are poor enough to be able to get aid form the government? Is it easy to get or not to be able to get aid? Or is it not addressed at all?

Since in our class we look at different disciplines, which is basically looking at an issue from a different perspective. In this case, how is poverty seen through the lense of Malaysian culture? Is there a incentive to help those in poverty?

In our class we learned how the incentive of alleviating poverty in the English speaking world has been to keep productivity afloat.
