Years later he meets Kate Argent, who uses him to get to his family and murders  them. After this, Derek becomes a cynical and distrustful person. Overcome by his pain, Derek decides to leave Beacon Hills.

A few years later, Derek decides to return to find his older sister, Laura. He knew that his sister was looking for an Alpha who was causing trouble in the village. But when Derek arrives in town Laura is already dead. After the death of her mother, Allison became the head of the Argent Hunter clan. However, unlike the female Argent leaders who came before her, Allison belonged to a Werewolf pack, and tried to change their Code by abandoning the concept of hunting all supernaturals and instead protecting all innocents, whether human or supernatural ("we protect those who cannot protect themselves").

At the end of the third season she was stabbed by an Oni's sword during a battle, Even after her death, her presence continues to live on in her pack, as they continue to fight by her Code.

He suffers ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) which generates anxiety and panic attacks. His symptoms can be seen throughout the whole series. After working out, he managed to get on the lacrosse team together with his best friend Scott. Stiles has supported Scott all his life and, since he became a Werewolf, he has helped Scott with everything related to the supernatural world. 

He is the son of Sheriff Stilinski and Claudia Stilinski. His mother died when he was little. Her death has impacted him in so many ways during all his life. He even feels responsible for her death on some occasions.

He has been in love with Lydia since he was a child but she never paid attention to him for being nerdy and unpopular. However, during the curse of the series, they start to get more and more close and Lydia realizes that Stiles is much more than what she thought he was. 

Season three is the most important one for Stiles. During this season, Stiles is possessed by an entity known as Nogitsune. At first he only suffers from nightmares, but over time he begins to wake up in unfamiliar places and act aggressive. Stiles decides to lock himself up in a facility called “Eichen House” to try to solve his mental problems but the Nogitsune follows him there. After facing different mind games and losing several friends, the Nogitsune is finally expelled from Stiles' body, although it leaves him with repercussions that will accompany him throughout his life.

Their relationship undergoes an evolution that can be perfectly perceived during the series. At first the personalities of Lydia and Stiles are totally opposite. Stiles has been in love with Lydia since he was little and, although he has been trying to convince her of dating him for a long time, they have always maintained a platonic relationship. When both are involved in the supernatural world, their relationship changes for the better. They start out being confidents: Lydia finds in Stiles the perfect complement to all her crazy ideas. He doesn’t want to leave her alone, so he follows her everywhere. In season three Lydia shows how much she cares about Stiles since she supports him during all his problems, she even risks her own life to save him. In season four the character of Malia is introduced and she damages the relationship that they had.  Despite this, in the following seasons they regain their relationship. So much so that, from the sixth season, they begin a romantic relationship. For me they are the clearest example of what a couple should represent: commitment, respect, love, empathy and trust. Stiles is the only person who has paid attention to Lydia during every step of her life. He knows that she’s smart even though she pretends she’s not. He knows that she cares about others and that she wants to help anyone she can. Some people don’t agree with this idea because they think that they should leave the show as it is, but I think it will be very cool to see how they face adulthood. I think that it is very interesting how this actor participares in films of several different genres. This series is about a woman who gets pregnant, but has never had sexual relations. So, it is like a comedy.

Besides, I have seen that he has also appeared in one of my favorite films "Truth or Dare". This films is about the famous children's game of truth or dare, in which participants have to choose whether to take a test or to answer a question in truth. The difference is that in this movie, if they lie or don't complete the challenge, they die.

For example, in the series Lydia was a banshee, a spirit from the Irish Folklore who heralds the death of someone by screaming. 
Another example is in season 5 with the Beast of Gévaudan. In the show, it is considered to be the strongest werewolf, supposed to be dead and revived by the Dread Doctors. Apparently, this is a real legend from the 18th Century in France. According to the legend, there were man-eating animals, believed to be beast-like wolves. 
The most obvious example of mythology in Teen Wolf is obviously the werewolves, a creature found in most folklores around the world. The earliest example of this creature is considered to be found in the Epic of Gilgamesh, an epic poem from ancient Mesopotamia, in which it is related how a man was turned into a wolf (between some other things).
There are many more examples, like the Kitsune (from Japanese mythology), the Ghost Riders...
