The current Vrgorac Elementary School was constituted on March 14, 1988, by merging the Vladimir Nazor Elementary School in Dragljane and the Ante Matrinac Elementary School in Vrgorac. The principal was Lester Rakušić, and he was succeeded by Ivo Klinac, a mathematics teacher and former principal of Vladimir Nazor Elementary School.

The current principal is Krešimir Kuran, a professor of geography and history, who has been the principal since 2013.

The school library of Vrgorac Elementary School was founded in 1962.

Since its foundation, it has been part of the school as an institution. It has a department for children and youth with a reading room, as well as a separate Homeland and reference collection and a special collection of Five Centuries of Croatian Literature. Since its foundation until today, it has been constantly developing, renewing and progressing, especially in terms of building the collection, but also with modern technology.

The library is led by the professional associate school librarian Adriana Turić Erceg. She succeeded her colleague, Croatian language teacher Slavko Vujčić, who retired in 2014. The library offers classes in Library, Information and Media Literacy, numerous projects, extracurricular activities, workshops, literary meetings and the like. In 2024, it switched to digital lending and work in the Metel win program.

I prioritize my students' learning journeys not just by memorizing information, but by doing and experiencing it. In my lessons, I strive to make learning more permanent with activities, projects, and examples from daily life. I place great importance on values ​​education. I believe this project will instill many values ​​in my students.

Żychlin is a village in the Greater Poland region, in the commune of Stare Miasto, near the city of Konin. About 2,000 people live here. The history of the village goes back to the Middle Ages.
