The neighborhood offers safe places to cross along roads for pedestrian safety. Such as this crosswalk which is nearby to a local eatery in the area of the neighborhood. Allowing a local place to eat and a safe way to get there and back to your car or home.

Signs

This sign specifically I think was really important. It is specifically watching out for kids playing in the road or near the road since the road is busier than a smaller neighborhood road. This is important since it gives the opportunity for kids to be able to play outside and have fun where they live but also to create these precautions just in case a child runs into the street.

Mailbox surveillance

This neighborhood has a common spot for mailboxes since houses are so spread out, it can get hard for delivery drivers. But since they are away from the houses themselves, the neighborhood provides a surveillance system so that mail can still get to the residents safely and they would not have to worry about thieves or if their mail got to the mailbox.

Mirrors

This specific mirror looked to be across from a house onto a blind turn road. This would definitely benefit the resident themself but also benefits the drivers going by since they couldn't see if that person was coming out or someone was coming from the blind turn. This helps everyone prevent collisions and harm toward anyone.

Law signs

This was one out of a number of these specific signs that I saw. These roads are very popular for bikers and there are safe bike lanes already implemented but sometimes bikers can swerve too, so this sign is to make sure that drivers are reminded to keep an eye out for them and to make sure there is a good distance between their car and the biker so that no one ends up hurt. This also allows for comfort for the bikers because they know that the cars can see the dozens of signs over and over so they feel safe to bike here.

Fire Hydrant

I noticed dozens of fire hydrants along these roads. In addition there is also a fire station extremely close. Seeing this neighborhood is in the mountains, it provides safety to the residents to see the amount of hydrants and know there is a fire station nearby.

Overall, this neighborhood had its positives and negatives but then again I visited during the winter and during the spring. I love this neighborhood alot and do believe it is very safe. Roads were always clear all year round, there are precautions for fires, snow, and other mishaps. Residents seem to feel safe and so do children. This is a beautiful neighborhood that is very safe. I loved seeing all the bikers and walkers and everyone enjoying the sun. I do think some of the fences and other things that I brought up on part one of the assignment should be repaired and fixed seeing the weather does change so much. But all in all, it is a very safe and friendly neighborhood.
