The four canopic jars heads are gods called the four sons of Horus. The Baboon headed god is Hapy, which he protects the lungs, the Jackal headed god is Duamutef, and he protects the stomach. The farmers and slaves are working continuous hours of labor from birth to death and only get a break in the flooding seasons. The Craftsmen, Merchants, and Scribes have a better life than the farmers and slaves but still do work for their Pharaoh. The soldiers train and work under orders from the Pharaoh as well as all the other classes in the pyramid. The god of the sun and underworld is Amen-ra, and Osiris is the god of the afterlife/dead. Amun is the king of gods and Horus is the god of the sky. They believe in so many gods, one for pretty much every aspect of life. These temples were communication centers to their gods and to make prayers to them.
