Crooks is lonely, he wanted company so he made a conversation with Lennie. Crooks started saying that George left him and things like that which got Lennie really mad so he started yelling, Crooks got scare so he stopped and change the subject, the conversation ended up with Lennie telling him about the farm they were trying to get and how he wanted to feed the rabbits. Of course as soon as he heard that Crook liked the idea and when the guys came back home he asked George George got mad at Lennie for telling him about it. He killed her. he was really scared so he ran away he didn't know what to do. He ran away. George is thinking about the situation and what he is going to do. Goes to look for Lennie and talks to him, he told Lennie everything is going to be okay, that they will have the ranch and some rabbits for Lennie to feed. Lennie trusted him because George could never do something bad to him. That's what he was thinking. George told Lennie to go under the bridge and went back with everyone, told them where he was and he went to look for him. Curley had his shoot gun because he wanted revenge. Everyone was on their way, they though Lennie had a gun so they let George go first, he told Lennie that everything was okay and to start walking, as soon as Lennie looked the other way George pulled a gun out and shoot Lennie in the back of the neck.
