1. One reason is that the death penalty does not lower rates of violent crime and it even increases the crime rate. 
2.and sometimes people have been accused and get the death  penalty but in some cases, innocent people have been sentenced to death.
3.and also causes social injustices by disproportionately targeting people of color and people who cannot afford good attorneys.
Now this is why the death penalty should not be allowed under the constitution because look what it causes.

2. This murderer has a family. If we are doing and eye for an eye then don’t both families just lose?
3. Everyone deserves life. We should just put them in therapy and then they would not die, But they would not be a sociopath 
4. Finally I want to talk about the biggest thing . This guy murdered someone. He was sentenced to dying. You kill him. Now technically shouldn't you be sentenced to dying too? Lets just say you are. Then the person who killed you should be too. Its endless.
That is why I think that the death penalty should not be allowed under the constutution

2. The south, which has the highest murder rate also has the most executions. The northeast, which has the least murders, has the least amount of executions. This shows that the death penalty does not stop murders.
3. Many poor people cannot afford a good lawyer and so cannot defend themselves is court, so a lot of poor people get the death penalty.
4. People can change! We should give people a change to change in jail instead of just killing them.
