Rosa Parks was a African-American. December 1, 1955 was the day she refused to abide by the bus rules. This created the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a movement where all African-Americans rejected bus transportation, and walked or biked everywhere they needed to go. Even though she was imprisoned for her actions, she inspired many others to stand up for black rights, maybe even other rights.
