In March of 2018, Illinois saw an outbreak in the consumption of SC that impacted 174 patients and killed five. This however wasn't directly caused by SC, but by the contamination of the drug by active ingredients in rodenticides such as bromadiol and difenacoum.

I always see people partaking in the use of SC whether it's at a party or social gathering and has become more socially acceptable considering the times. The drug itself has dangerous affects but most deaths concerning the drug happen when it is laced with rodenticides as stated prior.
