Make a short video (doesn't have to be longer than half a minute) about one of the following rules related to corona. You can show it, explain it, draw something, make a stop motion video...

1- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 30 seconds. https://www.health.state.mn.us/people/handhygiene/how/clean8.html
2- Keep at least 3-4 steps distance between people who show symptoms of colds.
3- Cover the mouth and nose with disposable wipes during coughing or sneezing. If there is no wipe, use the inside of the elbow.
4- Avoid close contact such as shaking hands, hugging...
5- Do not touch your eyes, mouth and nose with your hands.
6- Cancel or postpone your travels abroad.
7- Spend the first 14 days at home on your return from abroad.
8- Ventilate your environments frequently.
9- Wash your clothes at 60-90OC with normal detergent.
10- Clean your frequently used surfaces such as door handles, fixtures, sinks with water and detergent every day.
11- If you have cold symptoms, do not contact the elderly and those with chronic disease, do not go out without wearing a mask.
12- Do not share your personal belongings such as towels.
13- Drink plenty of fluids, eat a balanced diet, pay attention to your sleep patterns.
14- If you have persistent fever, cough and shortness of breath, apply a mask to a healthcare provider.

Welcome to our new English classroom!

On this platform, you will find all necessary information to get you through the weeks of corocation after the easter holidays. The main idea behind this padlet is that we keep communicating with each other (be nice and polite!), in English of course, in a fun and educational way without having to use Smartschool all of the time.

We have posted 3 challenges and activities for you to do this week to improve your English skills.

- Zero waste

- Use of plastic (bags, packaging, toys…), plastic soup

- Clean water

- Global warming (reasons, effects…)

- Travelling by bike, going on foot, using public transport

- Buy local food, local products.

- Buy seasonal food.

- Being vegetarian, vegan…

- Animals, extinction of animals

- Forest fires

- Environmental organizations such as World Wide Fund for Nature, Greenpeace, Earth Day, …

B. Checklist challenge:

- no impolite or rude language

- no nudes or unhealthy or dangerous challenges

- be original

C. Structure:
- Name your challenge.
- Begin the video with an explanation: what is the purpose of the challenge (good cause), what are you going to do, who can participate, how can you participate?

Take a walk.
You can take a walk everyday so you can relax and be outside for a while. It’s best you do this alone so you are guaranteed to stay safe.

How do I stay positive during quarantine?

How I stay positive during the Corona I watch a lot of films and reports, I often call friends, I also play online on the PlayStation with friends and I exercise a lot. And when groceries need to be done I immediately do it to take advantage of the fresh air.

We are lucky that the weather is very nice so I go for a walk every morning with my mother and brother. I think that sometimes you also need fresh air and don't spend all day behind your mobile phone or TV. If you are bored you can also try something new like baking a cake which is always fun to do.
Hope everybody is fine, we wil get over this.

I take a breath of fresh air almost everyday. Sometimes i run with my brother for half an hour in the Osbroek park.
