Leonie the daughter to River  and Philomene, and mother to Jojo and Kayla, Very troubled, pregnant at a young age still dealing with past trauma and racism she turns to copes with drugs. Secondly would be Jojo a 13 year old boy whom is the creation of leonie and michael. Neglected by both and would be a father figure to his younger sister.

One night misty asked if she was excited if michael was coming home ofc ecstatic with the return of her lover it doesn't take much time for leonie to overthink  life the same night taking in the failures as a mother jus based on a face she remembers jojo giving her, this relates to Mac lyrics because they both believe it's a small world that the world revolves around them and their problems…. Leonnie's breaking point came when her mother died. It wasn't until then in which she actually strived for change not for her but for her family

He views her as a neglectful, selfish, and incomprehensible mother. Their relationship is painful, and both characters can be cruel to one another
As a result of this he himself has taken the title of mom out of his vocabulary

Leonie grew up in a much more tolerable environment but still faces those same issues but not as extreme and lastly jojo growing up in the ultimate present time he envies the attitude pops has but is oblivious as to why he acts like this.
